A note from the site themselves...

Bob and I moved to Wales during the pandemic, when both our industries stalled overnight - Bob worked in theatre and I in events. Having dreamed of a smallholding in the countryside for many years, we recognised that this was our opportunity to 'break out' so we sold up near London and set off on our great big Welsh adventure.

Our first glimpse of the Brecon Beacons was driving over the Black Mountain Road and as our mouths fell open in awe at the dramatic views, we knew that this was the place for us. Within three months we had made the move and then spent the next three months taming the wilderness around us into a working campsite.

Bob and I like to think that "if Carlsberg did campsites", it would be like Cosmos Camping. Quiet, tranquil, stunning mountain views, epic night skies and fluffy balls of sheep scattered across your horizon but just not in your tent! Actually the neighbours sheep do occasionally break in but that just adds to the experience, and 'encouraging' them off site makes for entertaining film footage.

Life here is a lot of fun. It is also a place of extreme beauty and calm. We love sharing this with our campers and want them to feel like they have joined a very special club, one they can come back and visit whenever they want or feel the need.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan PitchMay 2024

Very clean and well thought out site with some nice extra facilities, especially if you were in a tent. Use of fridge, microwave and kettle. Useful in wet weather. They had a horse box selling drinks in the morning and evening with a shelter to sit under if it was raining. We didn't experience the star gazing as it was cloudy when we stayed. We were in a small campervan which were catered for with 2 small pitches and the rest was for tents. The hosts, Bob and Alex, were very friendly and helpful.

Site's response

Hi Steve, thank you for your positive feedback and hope to see you back here sometime in the future with clearer skies! All the best, Alex & Bob
