About Stockbridge View

This quiet farm campsite is set deep in the picturesque Test Valley, an ideal location for walking and cycling. Located just off the A30, the site is also well-connected for exploring further afield with attractions such as Paultons Park Home of Peppa Pig World and Salisbury Cathedral within a 30 minute drive. There are a total of 50 non electric grass pitches onsite, welcoming tents, trailer tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. Each pitch is an unlimited size, allowing up to eight guests each with plenty of room to spread out. For tourers and motorhomes, there are also five non electric hardstanding pitches to choose from. These measure a spacious 4.5m x 10m with up to eight guests per pitch. Anywhere you choose, you'll only be a few minutes away from the campsite's facilities. The site has fire pits available so in the evening you can light your campfire and toast some marshmallows - just as long as you don't ruin the grass! Firewood is also available to buy on site, with raised BBQs also permitted. Set by the River Test, spend your days strolling through the woodlands, passing tranquil streams and rolling chalk hills. You could also travel to the nearby historic cities of Winchester and Salisbury, or perhaps pop to one of the villages nearby, where you'll find beautiful thatched cottages and welcoming pubs. Four-legged friends are also welcome to join you for your stay, with up to three permitted per pitch. Please note, the site is located just off of the A30 so you may experience some road noise. There is also a clay pigeon shoot nearby so some noise can sometimes be heard.

Stockbridge View is open all year round.

Facilities and amenities

Facilities include warm showers, individual composting toilets, running drinking water and an undercover washing up area.

The site is also a 15 minute walk away from the town of Stockbridge with multiple eateries serving up wood-fired pizzas, kebabs, pub food, and a small supermarket. The local pub The John O'Gaunt, at Horsebridge, is situated on a foot/cycle path on a disused railway.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2024

Great location, close to a small town with pubs and good walking routes to other pubs. Nice, well spaced out, campsite with clean facilities and very hot showers. Firepit and picnic benches at the pitch, perfect for our group camping trip. The owners walked around a couple times a day to check everything was ok which was nice 😀

Fantastic!

Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesJun 2024

This was our first time at Stockbridge view and we loved it. In our view, this is just how a campsite should be - few rules, lovely area, amazing toilets and showers. Very relaxed and great for a family get together. We will definitely be back and will be recommending to friends and family.

One night spontaneous road trip!

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2024

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I'd particularly like to mention the group of young men that also stayed on Sunday night. They were incredibly thoughtful and a pleasure to be near. I am a mum of similar age young adult children and would be super proud if these lads were mine. No foul language, lots of fun, music played at a sensitive volume, quiet by 10pm. No idea if this feedback can be passed on but I'd love them to know. Well done chaps.
