Or choose one of the glamping pods or Lotus Belle tents for something a little extra. Pop down to Blacklands Beach for a day on the sand, a lovely getaway for all.

My first trip in a 'new to us caravan' after a few years away from the scene. We arrived at a beautiful campsite to a warm and friendly greeting. They couldn't have been more polite. I asked about a gas refill and was told to go pitch and they would sort it out for me. Within 5 minutes, two guys were at my caravan with a new gas bottle for me. They asked if they could help with anything else and at the time I didn't think there was. Once I pitched up, I realized I didn't have the correct connection for the water tap, went down to the shop to buy a new one to find out they had just sold the last one. Well, that wasn't good enough for the guys, they lent me one of their own until I was able to replace it. Everyday they were out cutting the grass, cleaning toilets and generally keeping the site on an awesome condition. The views were gorgeous and I couldn't have asked for better. There isn't much to do on site but that isn't how it is advertised. However, because of this it has to be the quietest, most relaxing site I have ever stayed at. Would I go again, you better blooming believe it. I would fully recommend this place. Awesome doesn't come close.

We had our first outing in our Crafter camper van and stayed here. What a lovely place to unwind with great views across to Wales. The facilities were amazing, clean and warm. Staff were great, they helped us feel welcome. I will definitely be coming back, the dog also loved his stay ๐๐ป

The place is absolutely amazing. On the site we have everything we needed. Very clean and tidy, well kept and organized. The staff is fabulous, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place and definitely will be back soon.

Absolutely lovely campsite .Amazing views amazing facilities , everyoneโs really friendly and very welcoming.Great if you have a dog really nice area for them only draw back is ticks , but thatโs just nature. food van if you donโt want to cook, lovely walks around the area and if you donโt want to walk back to site then taxi service is fast efficient and reliable.

Just had a great stay at Lynmouth campsite. The pod was spotless, the site was quiet and a great location for local walks and sights . My only gripe was the tepid temperature of the water in the womenโs showers. My partner said the temperature in the menโs shower block was roasting. The site may want to investigate this. Otherwise I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed for 3 nights with my wife. A wonderful place to relax with silence and nature all around. Close to the city and attractions, beautiful hiking trails and views, Clean and good standard facilities. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay here for four days! Really lucky with the weather, couldn't have been better. The site is really well run and the staff at reception are really friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to visit, it is a nice quiet site that is only 30 minutes walk from Lynton and Lynmouth. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and can recommend it to anyone!

As a first time user of not only this site but outing with a van and family I couldn't be more impressed. Simple, nice size and clean campsite with very pleasant staff. Only minor is the pub is not currently open but also understand it is not linked to the site and also a sign of the times.

Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Immaculately keep site & facilities. Best way down and up to Lynmouth/Lynton is across fields and down to West Lynn Bridge. Suggest walking poles and good shoes. Would definitely use this site again. Shame the pub/hotel next door is currently closed. But the site would do well if they stocked more beverages and hot food/meals maybe.

Lynmouth Holiday Retreat is one of the best campsites we've stayed on. The facilities were excellent, plenty of spotless toilets and showers. Power banks on hand should you need them. A great little shop where you can order fresh croissants for breakfast. The site is really dog friendly with a good dog walking field. The best thing about the site though is the staff. They were absolutely brilliant - very friendly and helpful. They did everything with a smile, including giving us a push off our pitch this morning after the heavy rain last night, I would definitely recommend this site and I hope to stay here again. Thanks for a great Easter weekend :)

Staff were always out cleaning, checking the site and doing improvements. Toilet and showers were lovely. There was dishwasher and laundry facilities. View was beautiful. Pub next door was within a very short walking distance and the food was amazing catering for gluten-free as well which was nice. Friendly staff. On the site at reception, you can pre-order breakfast pastries and sandwiches for the next day. Well laid out site.

100% in all areas - nothing not to like. Lovely setting with super views, very friendly welcoming staff. Some of the walks can be challenging. Facilities are the best I have every seen on a campsite. Very clean and even had a dishwasher that takes only six minutes. Would without a doubt recommend this site.

Bit disappointed the pub was closed. ยฃ8 each way into Lynmouth for food, which wasn't really a problem. Couldn't do much about the weather. We found the reception was very good and very helpful and everywhere was very clean. Probably wouldn't stay again because of the distance to village

I cannot stress how amazing this place has been to us. We arrived in a plume of smoke as our car broke down and we only just managed to make it to the site. The staff have been so kind and helpful and words are really not enough to express how grateful we are. The tent is lovely and facilities are well maintained and clean. Our dog, Hugo, has been made so welcome and never seemed to be an issue. We really cannot thank the site enough for their help and assistance, they really went above and beyond to help. Thank you again.

Great site, but access very trying

This is a review of 2 halves. The site itself is lovely and anywhere else, I would recommend instantly but the access issues cannot be avoided. There is no information recommending a best route or any warnings of the access issues and the phone seems to always be on answer phone, so advice is not available. The A39 takes you through Lynton and the roads are extremely steep and our motorhome failed to make one hill and I was forced to reverse and retrace my route - very scary on a steep hill on an A road. Only alternative is very narrow minor roads.
