Things to do on site and in the Skipton area
Being just metres from the well known Dales Way is enough to make most visitors fancy getting their boots on, but it's by no means the only pretty walk in the area. The national park is absolutely packed with walking and cycling options to tempt you.
To reward yourself, amble into the village and test out its three great pubs, exceedingly tasty tearoom, and scrummy ice cream parlour. Basically, all the calories you lose on your walks can safely be refuelled here.
It's just 14 miles to Skipton with its well preserved castle and access to the nostalgic Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway.
Other tempting options include:
- Pony trekking in Kilnsey (3 miles)
- Bolton Priory
- Stump Cross Caverns
- Fly fishing on the Wharfe
- Village playground
