About Pitch and Canvas
Previously Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year by Marketing Cheshire, this site is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Quiet and friendly, it's perfect for relaxing in the summer sun or strolling the quaint streets of historic Chester. The site offers a wide variety of accommodations to suit your needs, from cosy pods or spacious hardstanding pitches. There are also grass pitches, yurts and holiday homes - there really is something for everyone. Suitable for camping and touring, the pitches are spread across two fields. Hardstanding pitches are available with or without electric hookup. All pitches are located around the outsides, ensuring the middle area is open with plenty of space. Plus, you'll have fantastic views of the Sandstone Ridge. Oak and Acorn, the cosy pods, can house up to four people. Great for your weekend break away or your annual relaxing holiday, all year round. Oak pod offers you a peaceful night's sleep with a comfy double bed, a small fridge, a kettle and cutlery. Outside, you have your decking, tables and chairs, and a fire pit. In the autumn and winter months, there is an electric fire to keep you warm inside. Sleeps up to two adults and two children. Acorn pod, on the other hand, sleeps 2 people and provides camping without the canvas. This insulated pod includes two camp beds, a kettle and a picnic table. Remember to bring your bedding! There are also grass pitches, yurts and holiday homes available. You may want to explore the peaceful walks on the Sandstone Trail, followed by a drink in one of the many great coffee shops or pubs. With Chester Zoo, BeWilderwood, and other famous attractions just moments away, there's something for the whole family to enjoy. By night, after a fun-filled day, relax under the stars toasting marshmallows on one of the firepits. The staff here understand the importance of quality time and endeavour to make your stay memorable, after all, you don't get many holidays a year so when you do you want it to be the best! You can get away from your daily routines and take a step back in time to a place of bird song and magnificent views to create lifelong holiday memories.

Site rules and policies
ADMISSION
All guests arriving and staying at Pitch & Canvas must be registered via their booking and checked in at Reception.
Under 21s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians. Strictly 1 over 21 must be staying per pitch.
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your pitch.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
The site are not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event they are prevented from fulfilling your Booking as a result of circumstances beyond their control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events ("Force Majeure"). We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.
CHANGES TO YOUR HOLIDAY
Cancellations within 3 weeks of arrival are non refundable. In the event we are able to relet the pitch we will refund the amount of your stay minus a £25 administration fee.
Cancellations within 6 weeks of arrival are entitled to a 50% refund. In the event we are able to relet the accommodation we will refund the amount of your stay minus a £25 administration fee.
Cancellations before 8 weeks of arrival are entitled to a refund minus a £25 administration fee.
We strongly recommend guests take out travel insurance to cover their booking in case of illness or other incidents preventing them from staying. All guests are now aware of COVID and due to the increase in people needing to isolate we are unable to offer refunds or transfers in the event you need to cancel your stay. Should you need to cancel and we are able to relet your holiday we will happily refund the amount paid minus a £25 administration fee. The more notice we have the better opportunity we have to relet your holiday.
Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.
DOGS
All dogs must be kept on a short lead and supervised at all times.
Dogs must not be left unattended at any time.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.
CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES iS NOT ALLOWED
We respectfully ask you do not charge electrical vehicles on site. We calculate our charges based on camping and do not include vehicle charging in this cost. Under the current electrical regulations a supply being used for public EV charging must have separate DC protection and type B breakers. Our type of EHU's don't have this so effectively it breaks our site electrical regulations and puts us and our guests at risk. Regretably, anyone found charging their EV will be asked to leave immediately with no refund and billed £30 for the additional electricity used..
GENERAL
Discount cards and gift vouchers must be used by their valid to date, after this date they become void.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume so as not to disturb other guests.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
OCCUPANCY
No hen/stag parties permitted.
Single-sex bookings of 3 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted.
A maximum of 3 bookings can be made together. No groups without prior agreement from site. Groups booked without permission will be asked to leave and are not entitled to a refund.
SAFETY
Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Only fire pits hired and logs bought on site are allowed to be used.
VEHICLES
No vehicle movement between 10:30 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
VISITORS
All visitors must register at Reception and are only allowed on site between 10am and 7pm.
COVID 19
All terms and conditions under our COVID 19 policy must be adhered to. Anyone in breach of these terms will be asked to leave immediatley without refund.
Things to do on site and in the Chester area
Guests can enjoy a variety of activities on site and close by. There are often a selection of on site activities to keep you busy such as gin tasting, cookery course, picnic in the paddock and many more.
The pony trekking centre is almost on the doorstep and nature and history trails to follow to the village. At weekends guests are welcome to join Suzanne on a walk on The Sandstone Ridge to see some of the amazing local scenery.
Beeston Castle is a stone's throw away and luckily you are just round the corner from the famous Cheshire Ice Cream Farm, voted one of Britain's best free attractions.
Manley Mere is always a favourite along with Delamere Forest, the Boneyard Skate Park and other fabulous activities close by. Strolling the quaint and curious streets of nearby Chester is fun too and only a 20 minute drive away.
The famous Ice Cream Farm is just round the corner and a little further along is the new and wonderful Bewilderwood Cheshire - both great days out for you to enjoy.
Night time on site provides a magical setting for sitting round your fire pit toasting marshmallows and watching the amazing display of birds and bats. You are surrounded by amazing flora and fauna and children and adults alike will experience a peaceful country get away.
You may want to explore the peaceful walks on the Sandstone Trail, followed by a coffee in the Cheshire Candle Workshops or a pint of local beer at The Pheasant Inn.
The site works with a variety of local businesses such as a local baker who makes stunning homemade cakes, ideal if you are celebrating on your stay, through to local pubs and eateries such as The Sportsmans Arms, Letters Inn,The Village Indian, and The Pheasant Inn.
And that's without mentioning the amazing on site food from Apricot Blue with their home made food cooked to order when they are on site.
During the season there are also a variety of special activities taking place such as a Gin Tasting Weekend, Cookery Courses, The Great American BBQ, plus taster paddle boarding sessions and archery.
When it comes to CarFest North, this is one of the most convenient places to stay and enjoy the action. You'll be within easy walking distance of the event and will also have a shuttle bus that is in constant operation each day - should you choose not to walk - or you can hire a bike.
