Little Acre Holiday Park is just a 15-minute drive from the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. This dog friendly touring park is adjacent to the tranquil Lancaster Canal, ideal for dog walking and relaxing. Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale are close by and accessible by a bus stop 100m away. Good food and drink from the pub at the Crooklands Hotel is less than 100m and always popular (booking recommended).

Little Acre is a family-run caravan, campervan and motorhome site suitable for those wanting peace and tranquillity on their trip away. The site is less than two miles from junction 36 of the M6 yet located in a calming rural setting, which makes it an ideal stopping off point if you are on a long North to South, South to North trip, or if you are looking for an ideal base to explore the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. All motorhome, caravan and campervan pitches are flat and set on hardstanding on local limestone, with 16 amp electric hook up immediately adjacent to them and reliable, strong and free WiFi included with every booking. All pitches also have a tap very close to them. There is also a pitch where you can book a tent pitch directly next to your campervan. Located adjacent to the Lancaster Canal, with views of the swans and wildlife, it's perfect for those who arrive on site with dogs and ideal for those who like to walk along a canal towpath and unwind.

You will find plenty of things to see and do within easy reach of Little Acre especially when it comes to playing golf in Cumbria. The area boasts a number of excellent courses including Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal, Windermere and Grange. All of these courses can be reached within a short drive of the site.
The Lancaster Canal offers superb walks up and down the tow path for exercise. Kids also enjoy the canal and you can take a trip on the Water Witch canal boat for a few pounds every weekend for that extra relaxation.
A ten minute drive will bring you to the market town of Kendal and the entrance to the wonderful Lake District or, to the south, the entrance to the Yorkshire Dales. The Lake District National Park has some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK and can be reached easily by car, boat or walking up the many hills for an active challenge.
Just a few miles away from the site you will find Holmescales Activity Centre where you can take part in a wide range of outdoor activities including horse riding, paint balling, off-roading 4x4s, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting and archery.
Trout and carp fishing at the Farleton View fly fishing lakes is easily arranged so please let staff know if you'd like to spend a blissful day beside the lake.
The site is within walking distance from Westmorland County Showground, which attracts over 30,000 visitors per year to see livestock shows and be enticed with local produce in the food hall.
Also fortunate to have the bar and good food at the Crooklands Hotel only 100m away.
