Cayo Retreat is an idyllic camping spot for tents and tourers in Herefordshire, with incredible views towards the Black Mountains. Listen to the birdsong on your grass pitch, and start planning your routes along the Offa's Dyke Path or the Brecon Beacons - both easily accessed. Guests will also have access to modern wetrooms and bathrooms, perfect for camping with a little bit of luxury thrown in!

About Cayo Retreat
Escape the hustle and bustle at this friendly farm in Herefordshire on the border of Wales. With the stunning backdrop of the Black Mountains and easy reach to Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye. There is a large variety of grass pitches to choose from, none of which have electric. They vary from allowing six to ten people and some are even set alongside the river. They accommodate tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. There are three furnished bell tents sleeping up to six with luxury bedding. These are spacious and sleep up to six people on comfy beds with linen provided, as well as lanterns, cosy throws and seating provided. The perfect choice for those wanting to avoid any hassle. An ideal spot for ramblers, you'll have direct access to Offa's Dyke and be a short distance to the stunning Brecon Beacons. Back on-site, you'll also find plenty of woodland walks with a peaceful river running through that are great for those morning strolls. Dogs are welcome.
Cayo Retreat is open from 28/03 to 02/11.
Facilities include modern, individual wetrooms/bathrooms with loos and showers. There's also a designated dog area onsite.
Longtown village is just a 15 minute stroll from the site, where you'll find the local pub and a well stocked convenience shop.

Booked the Cayo retreat as a last minute bank holiday decision. We got to the site and were greeted by John who was very cheerful and very helpful. Showed us to the campervan plot and left us to get set up. After a few hours he came around to check everything was ok and to let us know they lit a fire in the middle of the site under a timber frame lit with fairy lights, which was a lovely meeting area to get to speak with the other campers. Facilities are limited but very well set up and kept clean, toilets are in the same pod as the showers so can get quite a queue in the mornings, but we all managed to be able to use the facilities with very small delays. Would definitely recommend this for anyone.
