About Galton Campsite

Galton is a relaxed family run park set on an organic farm at the gateway to the Purbeck Heritage coast area. All around you is the beauty of rural Dorset, but the urban haven of Weymouth is also within easy reach with everything you could need. Dogs are welcome to join you in your stay at the coast. Set in a spacious 20 acre field, this is a back-to-nature site for tents and trailer tents only, surrounded by mostly grass pasture either grazed by cows and their calves or cut for hay and silage to feed the livestock in winter. Guests are welcome to choose their own pitch upon arrival so that they can enjoy either privacy or stay close to friends and family.

Galton Campsite is open for the late May bank holiday week and then from 22nd to 26th August.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2023

First time here but will definitely be returning, it suited our needs perfectly. Spent 2 nights with my son and grandkids had some great father son bonding time. I like the fact you can have fires and BBQ's. There was plenty of room to run around etc. as well. It was nice that Catrin comes and greets you personally at sometime during your stay, I think that's a welcoming and personal touch that is good. Looking forward to returning again sometime soon.
