A note from the site themselves...

We welcome guests to enjoy the stunning views with us. I love seeing guests' reactions to the breathtaking panoramic views out over the Tamar Valley, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, over the River Tamar and out to the Sea at Plymouth Sound and beyond and sharing my little bit of paradise with others!

Having farmed here for 24 years the site will return to regular fields after you leave. Now run with our youngest son Beau who had his first cut of hay this year, you may see him arrive on a vintage Tractor and if you want a chat he will chew your ear off about vintage tractors and all things Cornish.

Beautiful views with a nice walk nearby. Enjoyed the lovely farm cafe within walking distance, great food! Only knocked the facilities/cleanliness down a bit because of there being only 1 shower and 2 toilets to use (1 toilet was locked?) but on the plus side, there was antibac provided in each and someone on site to clean them in the morning. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would come back again!

Site's response

Thank you for staying at Summit Camping and for your review Sharon, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. I am up and down twice a day, the site is a pop up wild camping site but we do provide a shower with hot water and 4 portaloos, one of which we keep in reserve in case of emergency (i.e. having to close one or them needing to be emptied), as we are on a rota. We also provide a double wash hand sink. We just opened last year to share our views and give people the chance to have some space in the country as we have 8 acres with amazing views. Kit Hill above has 400 acres of park and even a little lake, and we provide welcome packs by the notice board with a map of Cornwall and loads of information and brochures :) I hope to see you next time. Tracy

This was a fab campsite and would definitely want to go back. The views are amazing and if you like no frills, just a field with plenty of room camping, you will like it here. There are loos n a shower and their little tent shop open twice a day selling basics. Also a place for a fire in the evenings :-)
