Pod - Glamping PodsApr 2024

Wonderful stay here at Owl Pod, it was perfect for my husband's birthday short break away! We stayed for 2 nights and we loved every minute of our break. Great location with beautiful scenery, on a farm, with horses in the fields you can see out of your pod windows. Everything you could need was there, could tell it had been finished to a modern, high standard. Warm, cosy, heated towel rail in the bathroom, all electrics throughout and the lighting is done nicely so it's very cosy. Loved the finishing homely touches like the faux flowers dotted about and there is a nice tele in there too! Microwave and 2 ring hobs were all we needed really and we did cook in ourselves and found this an effortless and enjoyable experience. Only thing could be improved is maybe some new cooking utensils as some looked a bit worn and so I only used the one. Also a sieve would be good, however they did have a grater and tin opener etc so that was good also. Plenty of cutlery and plates etc so that was good too. Level of cleanliness was really fantastic! Looked brand new and clean everywhere, which is a major thing when staying somewhere for me. It looked appealing to use everything and it was clean. There was a slight issue with having not received an email before our arrival to give us our code to open the key locker to get our key to our pod. However, we knocked on the farm house door and a lovely lady was most eager to help and was friendly, she sorted it out for us straight away. You are in a nice area out of the way on the farm with lovely views and no disruptions. It was a perfectly peaceful stay. There is a book there with advice and instructions on how to use the hot tub etc and the hot tub I was very happy with too as it looked well maintained and clean again and it was perfectly situated next to our pod so we didn't have to walk anywhere to get to it. Lovely outdoor table and chairs for if you want to sit outside too, directly in front of the pod. Also the parking is clearly marked as well and I was able to park directly in front of our pod, which meant I could see my car at all times and could load the car easily on departure. Very peaceful and lovely setting and the area has great attractions and things to do within a short drive. There are also local shops such as the Co-op we went to and that was only 4/5 minutes down the road. We went to Chatsworth House too on our stay and it was a 15 minute drive from the pod and had lovely scenic roads to drive on as well. We both loved our time spent here in comfort and peace and it allowed us to switch off for a couple of nights and few days, it was perfect. The booking process was easy and I think this is good value for money also. I like the fact it had self catering facilities here and I would highly recommend staying. Towels were provided (both hand and bath towels) and also there was a lovely welcome package left for when we checked into our pod, they had thought of everything with a selection of yummy biscuits, fresh milk in the fridge, bottle of drinking water & 2 cans of orange and lemonade fizzy drinks. Also tea, coffee and sugar. It was well organised and run. The only couple of things that could make it better could be just a couple of minor details, such as the door sticks a bit and the light switch casing was coming loose, just minor things that I'm sure can be rectified quickly and easily that are just down to general wear and tear. But all in all, we would come back and recommend to our family and friends. Thank you! :-)

Pod - Glamping PodsApr 2024

This glamping experience was everything we wanted and expected. Most definitely fits the term glamorous camping. The area was beautiful with horses in the fields that you could see. It was very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable, even the bunk beds were very roomy and the facilities provided couldn't have been improved in any way! Will definitely be booking again and recommend. The only issue would be the presence of quite a lot of ants, however this is expected being out in the countryside.
