Facilities and amenities
Onsite facilities include a portable loo, dog washing point and picnic benches.
There is a Tesco Superstore in Millom just a five minute drive away and the Devonshire pub is just a 15 minute walk from the site.
Our site is located on Millom Pier, a historic landmark built back in 1866 as a port for iron ore and passenger transportation. The pier was vital in shipping iron ore from Hodbarrow Mines and being a terminal for ferries to the Isle of Man.
Eventually, the decline in iron ore demand led to decreased activity and eventually the shutting down of the pier. In the early 1990s, the pier underwent restoration to preserve its character and transform it into a recreational facility.
Fast forward to now, it has become a spot for locals and visitors, providing great views, fishing, and more. We look forward to you coming and enjoying it for yourselves, Lea

Motorhome - Non Electric Hardstanding PitchesMay 2024
Situated with excellent views overlooking the majestic mountains across the estuary, and boasting a serene beach right at its doorstep, this site is a paradise for nature lovers and those seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The first thing that strikes you upon arrival is the sheer tranquillity that permeates the site. The peaceful ambiance envelops you as you take in the expansive vistas of the estuary and the mountains beyond. It's a place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of your surroundings.
While simple, the amenities provided cater to the essential needs of guests, including portable toilets, waste disposal facilities, and water points. Despite their simplicity, they are well-maintained and ensure a comfortable stay for all visitors.
However, what truly sets this caravan site apart is the exceptional hospitality extended by its hostess, Louise. From the moment of our arrival, Louise went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect. Her warm and welcoming demeanour instantly made us feel at home, and her dedication to customer satisfaction was evident in every interaction. During our stay, we encountered a minor issue with the gas in our caravan. Without hesitation, Louise tapped into her network to find a solution. She reached out to a friend who is a caravan engineer, seeking advice on how to resolve the issue. Thanks to her help, our problem was swiftly resolved, allowing us to fully enjoy our trip without any disruptions.
Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature or simply looking to unwind and recharge, this site ticks all the boxes. And with Louise at the helm, you can rest assured that your stay will be nothing short of exceptional.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding PitchesJan 2024
Great place to park up and stay. Fantastic views over the estuary and the dark night sky was great for stargazing, so peaceful and relaxing.
On arrival, the owner is very informative and helpful. There are fresh water taps, a toilet emptying facility and a spotless portaloo on site, if needed. Nice walks from here too. We stayed for 2 nights and couldn't fault anything, will definitely be back πππ
