Wonderful site - didn't really want to give it a great review as I don't want too many people knowing about it! Small, well kept, dog friendly and quiet. Some amazing walks locally ending in either a cider farm or a good pub. As Arnie says, 'we'll be back'.

Site's response

Thank you Terry for your very kind review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Pineapple, we look forward to seeing you again sometime. The shop/cafe,fire pits, dog friendly and adults only seems to be very popular. Having the pub and cider farm close by is a bonus.

Great site, quite small but with grass and hardstanding pitches. The facilities were spotless with very friendly and obliging staff. Cider farm 15 mins walk up the lane and Hare and Hounds pub 15 mins further on where we had lovely home cooked meal. The site is also 3 miles from Bridport. Will definitely stay again.

Site's response

Thank you Martin for your very kind review. You were some of the first campers to stay this season. The Team really appreciated your wonderful feedback. We look forward to seeing you again sometime.

We enjoyed 3 nights at this well kept, quiet, lovely little site with views over rolling hills. Our gravel hard standing pitch was level, just wide enough for the van but with another gravel section for an awning. There are 4 unisex showers separate to the male and female toilets with 2 washing up sinks. There was never a queue for any of these facilities which were always clean. A complimentary fridge and freezer for campers use was a thoughtful touch. Pineapple Lane leading to the site is narrow, only a couple of passing points but you are only on it for approx 200 yards. We easily visited West Bay, Abbotsbury and Eype beach. Look forward to staying again.

Site's response

Thank you for your detailed and helpful review. We are glad you enjoyed Pineapple and the surrounding areas and look forward to welcoming you again.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Clover)May 2024

Pineapple farm is the most peaceful campsite we have visited over the years. It was lovely waking up to the sound of the birds and farm animals. The facilities are immaculate. Nice hot showers. The campsite shop offers hot snacks and drinks and some essentials you might need. The hard standing touring pitches are nice and level with a gravel section for chairs and bbq. The location is great with lovely country walks and only a 10 minute drive to the town of bridport. I would highly recommend pineapple farm!

Site's response

Just the sort of review we like- thank you. We are so lucky with the peace of our beautiful surroundings and love that people can enjoy it on their holidays with us. We look forward to welcoming you again.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Clover)May 2024

lovely campsite, however a bit over priced. We have stayed in some lovely campsites for a fraction of the price. facilities were very clean, shower pressure could be better, but overall very nice. staff were lovely, ordered a hot sandwich from reception and a member of staff brought it to the van. we would recommend.

Site's response

Thank you for your review and recommendation. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you'll come again.

Absolutely amazing time at Pineapple farm, wished we had booked for longer. All facilities were clean and tidy, fabulous hot shower every morning and the toilets were still heated at night. Farm shop had everything you needed and more, such a wonderful choice of cider. Such friendly owners spent a lovely evening and drink with Yvonne at our camper. The walks from the campsite so peaceful and beautiful through a neighbouring farm to Pymore and then into Bridport Town. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back for another stay. Pitch size was the best we have ever stayed at. And the fire pit with every pitch was a wonder touch we used ours 2 nights. Thank you all at pineapple farm for a more than 5star stay.

Site's response

Such a lovely review - thank you so much. We are so glad you felt welcome and enjoyed your stay so much. See you again for another Pineapple cider soon!

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Clover)May 2024

Everything about the site was great. It was clean and well set out. I didn't use the washing facilities personally but from what I saw, they certainly looked clean and were well maintained. The water hook up on the hard-standing pitch was a blessing. The surrounding area was beautiful and there were plenty of public footpaths and permissible paths to go walking. The site had an area set aside in a small orchard that you could let your dog off lead, which I thought was a great touch. The on site shop was well stocked and also offered freshly cooked food at a reasonable price too. The only downside for us was the access to the village and site was a little tight for our set up. We have a twin axle 8 metre caravan, which was very tight down to the site from the main road but I suppose to be expected when you're in the countryside. Overall I would definitely recommend the site for it's location and facilities. The setting is beautiful and you're only 15 minutes from the sea if you want it.

Thank you so much for your detailed and positive review. It's great to hear what people like best about Pineapple.

Beautiful location, with excellent facilities. Well laid out site with friendly owners and a shop with a good array of local items. Very dog friendly with an off lead area, and the chance to pick your own apples from the orchard for free in season. A peaceful and relaxing stay, we'll certainly be back.

A lovely, positive review - thank you. We are so glad you had a peaceful holiday and look forward to welcoming you again on your next visit.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Rosehip)Apr 2024

We enjoyed our stay. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The hardstanding was quite soft, but given all the rain we have had, it was hardly surprising. Access is ok providing you follow the route they suggest as other local roads are narrow and windy and unsuitable for a caravan.

Site's response

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and our lovely new toilet facilities. There certainly has been a lot of rain lately and we're are really looking forward to the ground drying up and the sun coming out. We really hope to welcome you again in the future.

Wider pitches needed please

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Rosehip)Apr 2024

Hardstanding pitch was not wide. Enough for a twin axle caravan without having to walk on muddy grass to get in. We arrived in heavy rain and it was so muddy, we parked over so that we could walk into caravan and stay clean. If we had awning, it would be the same - walk in the mud to get in. I appreciate you can't do anything about the weather but helping us keep out of the mud would help! Also, we had a big caravan and a transit van had problems parking the van because they didn't want to get stuck in the mud. Luckily we didn't have neighbours so could park on the hardcore "track". When arriving we are advised to look for the pineapple, we expected a large pineapple sign but there isn't one on the road! Lovely shop and facilities were excellent. Would like to visit again but only during a dry spell! The views are stunning and good dog walks. I was concerned about the very close proximity of the electric and water as the water sprays onto the electric when it's windy. I hope these help you improve the site.

Site's response

Thank you for your feedback, we always value comments and suggestions from customers and give them all very careful consideration. Roll on summer when the ground is all lovely and dry. We hope to welcome you again then.

Absolutely charming, picturesque, quiet and clean site

Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Honeysuckle)Sep 2023

Honestly, we've just had a fabulous weekend here. Despite arriving in the dark, and worrying we were too late, we were greeted warmly and given wood so we could have a fire and cook. Huge pitches, clean and so well thought ur amenities with a very homely feel and information about the area. So nice to get away for the weekend without our kids, and anyone else's for that matter. Can't wait to come back when they open again in the spring!!

Site's response

What a lovely review! Thank you so much, Jennie. We are delighted you enjoyed your trip so much and look forward to seeing you again next season.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Rosehip)Sep 2023

A great site which we picked as we thought it would be smaller and therefore not full on with kids and lots of pitches. The site is adult only and is superb. A small 3 level or 3 field site. Due to the very wet weather they had, they offered us a move from grass to a stone pitch which we took and we were pleased we did. The facilities are clean and although they are updating the showers over the closed period, I think they are good as is! The shop opens 10-1700 and is welcoming, as are the staff. We will be staying there again and recommend the site to anyone in the area.

Site's response

Thank you so much for your positive review. We work very hard to ensure every visitor feels welcomed, so we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you again for another stay at Pineapple in the future.

Staff were extremely accommodating. The location and scenery was perfect. We managed to take a trip to a dog friendly beach nearby on recommendation by a member of the staff to make the most of the sunshine and on our return, we took a nice walk along the lanes to the local cider farm, which we highly recommend! Lovely stay. Hopefully we get to visit again.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Honeysuckle)Sep 2023

I thoroughly enjoyed a few days motorcycle touring/camping at this site. I particularly enjoyed my evenings in front of the fire pit. The facilities were great and user friendly. Showers always available clean and hot. Even a fridge and freezer available for those of us in tents to keep stuff cool (it was during the September heat wave when I stayed). The location, so close to Bridport, Charmounth and Lyme Regis, for me, was great. I will look to be booking again next year. The shop was a little sparse, other than for essentials one might have forgotten. Hey, it's all about supporting a local economy and Dorset is a wonderful part of the country to visit. Nice roads for bikers even if the surface was a little rough at times. Site seemed motorcycle friendly but one needs to keep the noise down to maintain the tranquillity of this lovely site ❤️

Site's response

Thank you Marcus for your very kind review. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your evenings in front of the fire pit. We are so pleased that you are considering staying again next year. We look forward to seeing you again.

Motorhome - Large Electric Grass Pitches (Buttercup)Sep 2023

A pleasant site, close to cider farm and great pub in Waytown. Good country views. Be aware of the 'free' firepits, as only wood bought there can be used. On still nights, the smoke hangs around and made the evening unpleasant when surrounded by 3 of these pits on other pitches.

Site's response

Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your time with us and in our beautiful area. Isn't Dorset beautiful! The fire pits are indeed free and available on each pitch. We used to have a hire fee per night but have removed this. We have to be very careful what people are burning to ensure everyone's safety and also to protect our environment, particularly as we use the ash to enrich the soil in our nature area. We hope to welcome you back in the future.

This is a lovely site: small, very well run, good facilities, cheerful and helpful staff, and a short drive from the coast. We stayed for three nights and this is our first trip as caravan owners. Such a good experience. We followed the site's advice and approached from the direction of Bridport. There's lots more to explore nearby the site for the next time we visit. We will definitely be back.

Had a super stay at Pineapple. Great location to explore East Dorset. Large pitches (ours was fully serviced) and loads of hot water in clean shower block. Small shop for basics including marshmallows for the campfire. Staff were always friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent organic cider farm within walking distance which we used on a regular basis 😀 Will definitely stay here again.
