About Salisbury Campsite at Bake Farm
Bake Farm is uniquely situated in a quiet rural spot yet within a mile of the city of Salisbury, with stunning views of the elegant cathedral spire from the campsite. Guests can either drive to Salisbury where it is generally easy to park or it's an easy walk (35 mins) across the farm and down the ancient Old Shaston Drove. Why not choose to take the Town Path into Salisbury from Harnham, walking alongside the water meadows from where there are fabulous views of the cathedral, just as Constable himself painted. Salisbury Cathedral, the Cathedral Close and the Magna Carta must not be missed. Stonehenge is an absolute must and guests are never disappointed in this awe inspiring wonder. Guests can either drive, take the Stonehenge tour bus from the train station or follow the cycle route you will find on the information board at the campsite. For beach lovers, the Jurassic Coast offers beautiful unspoilt beaches and fabulous walks. Fantastic walks and cycle trails direct from the campsite. Walk to the pub or into Salisbury itself across the fields and tracks. The campsite is natural and undeveloped. It doesn't have designated pitches, so you can choose your ideal spot on arrival. This is a large meadow with no designated pitches so there's always lots of space to spread out! It's a working arable farm and there are also some sheep that you may encounter when out walking. Whilst the site welcomes children please note that it is a quiet site and that there are no play facilities/attractions for children. Please note that from the 4th-17th June Tweedy's circus will be next to the site, this may mean that the site is less quiet than usual.
