An adult only base in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Wharfe Camp Kettlewell is an ideal spot for peace and quiet. The site offers just five well-kept tent camping pitches and one hardstanding campervan pitch. There are also two cosy glamping pods, perfect for a bit of luxury. The site is surrounded by glorious hiking trails with the quaint village of Kettlewell just a five minutes walk away with pubs and shops for your convenience!

This tranquil site is ideal for those looking for some peace and quiet. Far from the bustle of cities, the only sounds you're likely to hear here are the chirping of birds, the buzzing of bees and the trickle of the River Wharfe. Being in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, you will also be spoilt for choice with great walking and cycling routes. For tent campers, there are five grass pitches available, each measuring a spacious 10m x 10m. Each pitch welcomes up to two guests to ensure the site is not too busy, and also comes with the option of a 16 amp hook up. There is also one hardstanding pitch for those travelling in a small campervan. The hardstanding pitch measures 10m x 7m and also allows up to two guests, with the option of a 16 amp electric hook up too. Glampers are also catered for, with two cosy glamping pods available. Sleeping up to two, the pods come equipped with a double bed, linen, towels, a TV and a heater for those cooler nights. You will also have a fridge, toaster, double induction hob, utensils and USB charging. Welcome tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits are also provided. Each of the pods also comes with a decking out front, along with an outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining. The pods are also set in a separate area from the tents so everyone has plenty of space. BBQs are also permitted, as long as they are raised from the ground. Please note, open fires are not allowed. Ideal for couples or solo campers, this adult only site does not accept groups. Please do not book as separate couples to then create a group. Sorry, no visitors are allowed onsite. Sorry, pets cannot stay.

Check in and Departure times :
Pod bookings must check in between 2pm and 8pm. Departure by 11am.
Campers must check in between 1pm and 8pm. Departure by 11am.
No motorhomes - Small campervans only - 5m length max.
If wishing to stay extra nights these must be re-booked by 10.30am.
No Shows - contact by email must be made if you are not checking in on your first day. Your pitch or pod will be released after 10.00 am the following day if no contact has been made.

Pitch Location:
This is done on a first come, first served basis. The pitches are divided with newly planted hedges. Cars are to be parked across the gradient and within your pitch. The pitches are gently sloping.
Please remember this is a quiet site, and therefore we ask that campers keep their voices low, so as to not to disturb others.
To maintain the campsite as a quiet site, the playing of music or instruments is not allowed . Anyone wishing to use a tv or audio equipment must use headphones.
No charging of vehicles off electric hook ups.
For safety reasons and limited space, outdoor games - football, badminton, frisbees etc. are not permitted.
For Health and safety reasons, we do not allow any types of fires at Wharfe Camp. eg. wood burning stoves, fire pits, campfires. Charcoal and gas BBQ's are allowed for the purpose of cooking a meal. These must be extinguished by 10pm. Fireworks and sky lanterns are also not allowed.
Due to safety, and noise issues, gazebos and generators are also not allowed.
In wet weather we require the movement of vehicles to be kept to an absolute minimum.
We understand that people are on their holiday, and may like a beverage or two. However, antisocial, drunken or noisy behaviour will not be tolerated, and you will be asked to leave.
In order to maintain a quiet site, we do not accept groups of any size. This means no couples booking more than one pitch or separately in order to meet up on site as a group. If making friends whilst at the site, it is still not permitted to form a group on the site for socializing. There are three public houses, bistro and a deli just 5 minutes walk into village for this. This is so that we can maintain the peace and quiet. Many of our guests wish to be able to get their heads down by 9pm and enjoy the quietness of the Wharfe valley. This is why we have this condition.

BOOKING POLICY:
Bookings must be paid in full at the time of reservation.
Cancellation Policy - A 50% refund will be given 3 weeks prior to the arrival date. No refund within the 3 weeks . We strongly advise that you take out travel insurance to cover any loss (including positive tests for covid) in the event of you having to cancel your booking.
Bookings cannot be changed or amended 21 days prior to arrival date. Changes prior to this incur a £15 booking change fee.
Pod bookings - Minimum 2 nights weekends. 3 nights bank holidays.

This is the place to relax, recharge and take to time to enjoy the Yorkshire Dales lovely scenery, or get outdoors and roam the area. The walking and cycling opportunities are endless and varied, with a short five minute stroll taking you into Kettlewell.
Just 15 minutes away is Grassington, where 'All Creatures Great and Small ' was filmed. You can find all the tempting independent shops and cafes you fancy or pick up a gift for loved ones at home.
It is also only 25 minutes to Skipton, where the calming Leeds Liverpool Canal runs and there are quaint cobbled streets to explore. It's a great day out, featuring Skipton Castle and a top weekly market, perfect for picking up ingredients for the BBQ.
