About Chesters

Chesters feels like a secluded garden, tucked in a lovely border area of Scotland. It's an ideal spot for families, with space to play and a feeling of staying in the depths of nature. With a stunning Georgian mansion and superb country estate visible from your pitch, the views will undoubtedly make your stay. The cosy canvas lodge is perfect for families, sleeping six with a furnished kitchen area. Take in the surrounding views whilst relaxing in the luxurious hot tub, which you'll find on the deck. Chesters is full of delightful nooks and crannies, with the magical old walled garden a treasure to be found in the centre. Over the Chesters land you'll find magnificent wildlife such as roe deer, pheasants, partridges, other elegant birds and and walled gardens around a shimmering stream. The most notable of all wildlife guests is, without a doubt, Samson the Osprey, an annual visitor from Gambia. Dogs are welcome onsite.

Chesters is open from 29/03 to 29/09.

Facilities and amenities

Each canvas lodge has its own private shower and toilet facilities. Elsewhere on site you'll find a little honesty shop for the essentials, a walled garden with pick-your-own fruit and veg (seasonal) and a tree house for kids, as well as the mini beastie-safari, fort with slides, and climbing nets at Born in the Borders just over the river.

The fish and chips is great at Born in the Borders. There is a Spar and Co-op 15 minutes away in Jedburgh.
