Rodney Stoke Caravan and Camping Park provides a peaceful adult only base for exploring Somerset, ten minutes from Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole Caves. Grass and hardstanding pitches welcome tents and tourers alike, each with an electric hook up. Within a 20 minute walk of a farm shop and pubs, there is plenty to discover on foot too. Dogs are also welcome, with plenty of nearby walking routes to enjoy!

Rodney Stoke was our first overnight stay in our campervan and I fully recommend the site. From Tom greeting us upon arrival and giving us all the information we needed to the location and facilities available. Excellent shower block along with a pot room and Elsan point. The site was very clean, tidy and well maintained. Very quiet area and ideal for Cheddar and Wookey Hole, not far to Wells and not too far from Glastonbury.

we loved our stay at Rodney Stoke Caravan park! facilities were super clean and seemed brand new! the plot we had was great near the bushes - it was like we had the whole site to ourselves! There is a nice country side walk to Draycott that's accessible from the camp site. Which has a lovely village shop around 30 mins away.

It's a good place to stay. Very close to Cheddar and Wells. Unfortunately, the pub nearest is shut, but there's a place called the Cider Barn 5mins away that's very good. It was nice and quiet. The showers weren't fantastic, but they were always hot and the room was always warm. Don't know how it would be if the site was full, as there were only two shower cubicles, but we had no problem. On the whole, a good site and would stay again.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at this facility. The site was easy to access, well placed and there was plenty to do within a 20 minute drive radius. The site itself is quiet and exceptionally clean. We really appreciated the cleanliness rules set by the hosts. It's without a doubt the cleanest campsite we've visited! We would both visit again and recommend to friends!

We went New Year's Eve to shake down the van. Quiet site behind a pub (that's closed but keep your eyes out as it may re-open and that would add a lot). Great small site with hardstanding pitches, with friendly and efficient management. It's remote and 1 bar 3G - but if you had a booster you'd be ok. Forget any food deliveries- it's a way out. Great site though and good services.

First time camping for a very long time! Stayed here for 2 nights test out my micro camper conversion (VW Caddy) and was surprised how peaceful it was. Think there were only 2/3 other pitches in use Toilets and showers (20p for 5 mins) were better than expected so very happy with these. Unfortunately the pub next door has closed down now but you can walk to The Cider Barn along quiet country lanes. I also walked to Cheddar following same route and managed to get the #126 bus back which was a bonus.

This is a beautifully kept, peaceful and secluded campsite with good walking links to a few pubs. Be aware that the Rodney Stoke Pub has been closed for 7 months, but that doesn't detract from the campsite itself. Tom, the site manager, is kind and helpful. We will most certainly be back!

Basic campsite. Great for a stop over, only drawback was both my partner & I had a cold shower. Didn't seem busy enough to warrant no hot water?

Well-kept and maintained site with clean and warm showers. Good facilities, dish washing machine, freezer etc. Easy walking distance to two friendly pubs. Tom the site manager was friendly and welcoming. Central to lots of interesting places. All in all, a great place to stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even though the weather gave us a battering!

A lovely, quiet campsite with very clean facilities. Our 2nd visit and it won't be our last. No hesitation in recommending this site to anyone. The only downside for us was the adjoining pub was closed and the nearest other pub was too far to walk to as my partner is disabled. It would have meant packing up the motorhome again and driving down, something neither of us fancied doing. So it was the local Chinese takeaway who did delivery service right to the gate, brilliant.

Lovely, quiet, campsite which is kept very clean. Toilet and shower block was clean. Friendly host. Felt very secure. Great field to the side to let dogs off for a run. Just a shame that the pub right by it was closed down. Thank you, had a great stay.

A very practical location, perfect as a hub location for seeing Somerset, with everything we needed. The site was clean, well maintained and easy to find. The plot was of a good size and once set up we could easily relax in this peaceful adult only location. The only thing I would say could be improved is to have adjustable temperature settings on the showers, only because I personally prefer a slightly cooler shower, however they were fine to use and were never cold. Overall a great stay and I would use this site again.

Great site, highly recommended. Seen a few people complain about the list of rules etc. Guess what - thatβs why the place is clean, quiet and the perfect location! π

When we arrived, Tom welcomed us and showed where our pitch was. We booked this site as it was an adult site with dogs, with a pub at end of drive, but this was closed until new owners move in, which was a big disappointment. Showers were clean but shower heads need big attention. Tom was hardly around. Came home a day early.

We thought the roadside sign needed to be bigger, we missed the site and sat nav took us down the side of a pub on a very narrow farm track and we scratched the van from trees and brambles. We didn't think the gate padlock to get in and out was a good idea either, it only needs putting on at night. No vehicles to be brought on site after 9pm and they said we must park in the pub car park, which was on a slope. This even applies to campervans. The pub was shut, so no food or drinks available if you don't want to cook. Must take shoes off to go in toilet and shower block, first time we've ever seen that and we have stopped at sites in the Yorkshire Dales with passing walkers going to the camp site toilets in their boots! Saying that, it was a nice quiet site.

Lovely adult only site, great walk to a cider barn (through back gate down Barangay Rd and keep going parallel to main A rd, The Rodney Stoke pub in front of the site is closed). Despite being an A road, it really wasn't too busy and very narrow in parts, but not pathed all the way. Great for dogs and lovely that it's near the old Strawberry Line (if you do buy some strawbs however, check price first, I was ripped off!). Only negative thing I would say is improve the gate padlock system, it's very awkward. Also all the "signs" in the toilets/showers! I think the main problem with the shower door is the fact when you get out of the shower and open the door, the water then runs down and the closing for cleaning is far too long! The water however has great pressure and is so lovely and warm. We would stay again.

Just back from a lovely weekend break at this site. Small, well maintained, peaceful site with all the facilities you need. You have to buy tokens for 50p for a.shower, but the water's hot and you get ample time so not a problem. Staff really friendly and welcoming and not far from Cheddar which was great for us.
