With sweeping sea views over Exmoor, South Dean Camping is perfectly located to explore North Devon's beauty and surrounding countryside. Set up camp on the spacious unmarked pitches, set in over 10 acres of land. You'll meet a host of animals on this farm, including alpacas! It's also close to several sandy beaches (a 15-minute drive), Barnstaple (a 25-minute drive) and Woolacombe (a 30-minute drive).
Back-to-basics cliff top site with incredible sea views
15-30 minute drive to sandy beaches, Woolacombe and Barnstaple
Direct access to the South West Coastal Path
Situated on a working farm on Exmoor with the best of both worlds, the site is amongst ample amounts of charming countryside, which builds to a stunning panoramic view of the sea over North Devon's clifftop coastline. All pitches enjoy coastal and countryside views on a range of well-maintained grass pitches suited to tents. They are spaced out and unmarked over 10 acres of land, so you can choose your own location to set up camp. You'll be ooo-ing and arr-ing as this picture-perfect location offers plenty of wildlife and farm animals. Meet the alpacas, and sheep on site. Be sure to keep an eye for those wild ponies, red deer and birds of prey in the area too. The surrounding countryside has direct access to footpaths and trails, which is great for walks, cycling and hikes where you can enjoy all of its natural beauty alongside the coast, amongst woodlands and open moorlands. The site is dog friendly, although guests are asked to keep pets under control with a lead to hand whilst on site due to the neighbouring animals close by.
South Dean Camping is open from 24th May to 2nd June and then from 13th July to 1st September.

If you're fancying a day at the beach on super soft sand, head to the beautiful surf central town of Woolacombe, a handy 25 minute drive away. For a pretty and unique approach capturing those picture worthy snaps, the quirky village of Lynton and Lynmouth is a 10 minute drive away.
Combe Martin is just a five minute drive if you want to take the kids crabbing or grab a bite to eat close to the campsite.
There is a great circular walk to Heddons Mouth Beach and back from the site - on the way, you'll pass Hunters Inn where you can refuel for food and drink. Make sure to look out for those cheeky peacocks too, as they have a natural way of wondering around the place.
