Surrounded by popular mountain bike trails with easy access to the Follow the Dog trail
Peaceful, almost wild camping site with spacious pitches and communal picnic benches
Nestled amongst tall pine, evergreen and spruce trees, this almost wild campsite is perfect for those looking to unwind in nature. Set within the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you will find picturesque nature trails and cycle routes all around. Tents, trailer tents, caravans, campervans, motorhomes and RVs are welcome across non electric grass and hardstanding pitches, each allowing up to eight guests. The pitches each measure 8m x 9m and with the site having no facilities, guests will need to ensure they can bring their own. Dotted around the site, you will also find many picnic benches for you to enjoy a picnic or your morning coffee. The site sits along the Follow the Dog trail for mountain bikers and is just a five minute drive from Go Ape Cannock and the centre of Cannock Chase Forest which often plays host to large music events, great for an evening out! Four-legged friends are also welcome to join you for your stay with up to four allowed per pitch and plenty of surrounding walks for them to enjoy. Please note, campfires and BBQs are not allowed onsite due to it being Forestry Commission land.
Tackeroo will be hosting an event called TackerPlus from 21st March - 1st April. Electric hardstanding and grass pitches will be available for this period. Hired toilets, showers and a small shop will also be on-site for these dates.
