Cotswolds Camping at Holycombe has been welcoming guests for over a decade. This quiet campsite is made up of 'wild' pitches - so camp where you like! You can have the sunset, sunrise, a spot by the water or a secluded space with a campfire. You'll also have heated glamping which is ideal year round, such as a stylish 1960s Airstream, yurts, a gypsy caravan and cabin. Catering only to older children and adults, the site has a true retreat feel.

This campsite was beautiful, with many great sized pitches that you could choose from. The vibe of the campsite was so chilled too, with Swampy helping to make sure that you have everything that you need, going above and beyond to help us out when we needed (it was our first time camping so this was really appreciated). The views from the campsite were gorgeous, and there were many places to chill and soak up the lovely surrounding, we chill in one of the hammocks and played cards it was lovely. The facilities were good too, I couldn't think of anything else that we could have needed - lovely shower really powerful and warm :) All in all I would 100% recommend this to someone if they wanted a peaceful get away. Thank you for having us we will definitely return.

Whilst outwardly basic, this site is quiet and enjoys pleasant views across a small valley. there is a mote which is pleasant, and a gentle roughness to the feel of the place. there is washing up, a flushing loo and 2 good compost loos. There are also showers. You can buy logs and there are braziers to borrow for this purpose. We loved it, and you can access a microwave as well. The Norman Knight pub IS some 500m into the village, and whilst not very welcoming, it is pleasant and has a nice outdoor area with views across the village green. A great little site.

Really lovely place. My stay in "Gypsy Carmen" was magical I've been singing "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves' since arriving. Peaceful and quiet, which is what I wanted, with each accommodation well spaced for privacy. Everything clearly signposted and the info folder in the caravan was really helpful. Facilities were excellent, with everything you could possibly need already provided. Looking forward to returning in the summer when the on-site coffee shop will be open. Hosts were friendly, helpful and always at the end of the telephone for the couple of queries I had. I didn't receive arrival info or Wi-Fi password as expected but a quick phone call both times had the issue quickly resolved. Looking forward to returning and I have my eye on 'Yami Yurt' next!

Very helpful staff member who is unobtrusive, friendly and approachable. He can recommend walks, local events and places to eat and offered to help if needed with putting up / taking down tents. An attractive and well laid out site that is just the right size to not overwhelm the facilities with easy pitch access and reasonable space between pitches. Kitchen, toilets and showers are cleaned regularly. The water pressure in the shower is really good. There is an apple and pear orchard with hammocks which is nice but pitch further away if you’re allergic to wasps. Dark skies depend on cloud cover and whilst there is some light pollution from nearby towns it doesn’t prevent a good starry view. Metal braziers are available for free as is firewood at £5 a bag.

Facilities excellent whilst still preserving so much natural beauty. Everyone was so kind - especially Swampy who as always around to offer help to those who struggled with making a fire. Would definitely go again.

Swampy gave a great welcome and gave helpful advice. We loved the compost loos. A lovely little site with its own ducklings to entertain. Weather wasn't great for our stay, so more hardstanding would be awesome, as I was worried all weekend about getting stuck in the mud in my Campervan. The surrounding area is beautiful and I would definitely come back again - the alternative camping (airstream, yurt and gypsy caravan) also gave the site a lovely quirky feel.

Very good yurt, ample power sockets and very pleasant décor. Unfortunately our visit was during very wet weather on day one. Our only issue was clarity about parking. We were not sure about where to park on arrival and were told we could park on a muddy path leading up to the campsite, which we did. Trying to reverse out, I damaged my car door on the large boulders which line the path. That's a lot of money to repair which I am clearly not going to be overjoyed about. Wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else.

The most beautiful, peaceful place. The yurt we stayed in was so lovely and super cosy. Facilities are very good for a campsite. Very unspoilt, and just rather lovely! Good walks nearby as well, and a great local pub and cafes.

An unusual and different site. Very quiet (but see note about church clock) and peaceful, but only basic facilities. Some pitches are uneven and sloping, but if you hunt you will find some lovely spots. The church clock chimes every 15 minutes 24 hours a day, so you will not get a good nights sleep. It has the air of a friendly and relaxed hippy commune.

Lovely campsite on the site of a Norman castle. Good facilities, toilets and showers were clean. Use of microwave, toaster, fridge and freezer. On site café at weekends providing coffee, tea and sandwiches. Within 10 minutes walking distance of local pub, The Norman Knight. Fire baskets and wood provided. No children under 12 or music allowed so a quiet place. Would highly recommend.

Beautifully run in the middle of winter! All needed was there, including a heated toilet and shower space. Beautiful surroundings to clear one's mind, great local walks (including an ancient wood nearby) and picturesque villages!

Was a bit dubious about the compost toilet but was no problem. Lovely little site - although the moat could be cleaned out a bit!
