A relaxing escape on the Yorkshire Coast. Located within the glorious North York Moors National Park, the area is popular with keen walkers, wildlife enthusiasts, cyclists and those seeking a peaceful escape by the sea. Within a ten minute drive of the beach and a short stroll to the nearest bus stop taking you to Scarborough and Whitby. The site is set on a ten acre smallholding, so you'll be living here with the resident animals including donkeys, pygmy goats, chickens/cockerels, Indian Runner ducks, dogs, a cat and Ryland sheep! All of the huts are perfect for a romantic break, each sleeping up to two in a double bed. They come fully furnished with a wood burning stove to keep you cosy, a basket of firewood and double-aspect windows. The pet free shepherd's huts sit side by side in the meadow and are both off-grid. They include a padded seating bench, along with a kitchen area, sink, pots and pans. There is a shared eco loo, rainfall shower and campfire area between the two huts. It is a short walk (five minutes) from the parking area and shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Shepherd's Watch is pet friendly with an enclosed garden and its own private toilet/wet room attached to the rear. This hut also has electric, along with a TV and two ring stove. This hut is closer to the cottages and parking is directly outside. It is elevated with a decked area, where you can sit out and enjoy the views. Everyone will have access to the communal facilities too. The 'scratching shed' offers WiFi, a pool table, bar football, a dart board, a gaming table, board games, a TV and cosy sofas. There is also a kitchen with a kettle, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer and iron. The site also offers EV charging for an extra fee. All of the huts enjoy glorious countryside views, perfect for unwinding with your morning brew. The area is also famed for its dark skies, making it perfect for star gazing, though a torch is reccomended for getting around at night. Up to two four-legged friends are welcome in each of the dog friendly hut.

Onsite, the 'Scratching Shed' is a communal games room area where guests can relax on the leather sofas and watch TV. There is also a dartboard, pool table, table top games (space invaders etc), and bar football. For nature lovers, wonder at the wildlife including Roe deer and barn owls in the meadow.
The nearest beach is Boggle Hole and Robin Hood's Bay, which is a ten minute drive or can be walked to over the moors. Robin Hood's Bay and Beach are also within a ten minute drive.
For a scenic way to see the local landscapes, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway is a 35 minute drive from the site. Take a ride on a vintage steam train as you pass through hills and valleys.
