My family and I had a lovely time at Brook Farm! From the people to the beautiful animals they have, it's a very special, peaceful, perfect place to pitch and escape reality. Plus they have all the facilities you would need if you are staying in your motorhome, such as showers, toilets, electric hook ups, a café and they serve pizza on Friday and Saturday nights! An all around amazing place 🤩 Thank you again and I'll see you soon x

Absolutely fantastic. We had a lovely family long weekend here. The lodge was so cosy, clean and comfortable. James was an awesome host who provided us we a load of goodies including marshmallows which our 3 year old loved toasting on the fire pit in the evenings. The farm was beautiful and we loved the fact that we could feed the animals here (a big thumbs up 👍🏻) Thank you so much for having us. Rachael, Jason and Izzy

We only spent one night here, but it was a really lovely place to do so. Well-managed with a small animal enclosure in the middle, and a pizza oven if you didn't fancy cooking. The facilities were tired, but clean, with plenty of hot water. James (the owner) was very easygoing and clearly took pride in his site.

Lovely little site, basic facilities but were kept clean and always stocked with loo roll (no mean feat as it was busy). Spacious pitches, including a few hard standing s as and EHU. The owner/manager James was super friendly and helpful and the little cafe (Arbys) does great cake and coffee! Super convenient for Canterbury and the Kent coastline. Would def recommend.

We had a fabulous stay at this campsite. Grass pitches were immaculate. Jake's and Robin were so friendly and helpful and really seemed to love running the site and the café. Kids get to feed the farm animals in the morning with James, which was great. Homemade pizzas on site in the eve were delicious, as was the food at the cafe in the daytime. Very dog friendly site. Simple facilities but they were kept very clean at all times.

Really enjoyed staying in this small, tidy campsite. My only reason for 4/5 was not having hot water in the loos - plenty for the washing up though. And also no lighting around the loos etc after 11pm - I was extremely glad I had my head torch. The coffee shop and evening pizzas are a fantastic bonus and James and co are super friendly

Toilets were functional but wash basin not big enough for shaving. No shelf for toothbrush/razor or towel. No hot water and very powerful tap. Minor inconvenience in truth unless you were really looking for glamping. Great site otherwise!

Lovely peaceful location. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. No noise after dark and we had a fantastic night's sleep. Pizzas and fire pits were available for the evening, and coffee and bacon baps for breakfast - although you are equally able to make your own arrangements to cook. A short but very sweet stay!

This is a lovely little place to stay and centrally located for visiting Whitstable, Herne Bay, Canterbury and many other places. The owners are a very welcoming, helpful young couple, providing plenty of services for the site. They have a nice little coffee/cake/snack hut on the site too, also a wood fired pizza oven! Loads of nice places to cycle and walk, straight from the site. Definitely will return!

Great site, with a small farming background, the young couple are still setting up some of the facilities but our stay was brilliant. Very central to Canterbury, and Whitstable. Will definitely be returning for a longer stay. The hosts are very friendly and nothing was too much bother for them, thank you.

The toilets and showers are still being built, the drinking water tap was not very clean and we found some dog poo on our pit. Otherwise it was okay.

We stayed here for two nights in September with our doggo. The site itself is very pretty and was very quiet - probably the time of year. We arrived around 7pm on the Friday - Ken was very helpful in showing us what was what - the fire pit was great! The facilities on site are under renovation so they're not great, but did the job for a couple of nights. The campsite was a 15 min drive from Whitstable, which we loved, and went coincidentally on the Oyster Rock Festival weekend. Overall we had a great stay and we'll be back next year :)

Basic facilities whilst the new ones are under construction, although the old ones were not very clean. The site warden was overly attentive but the on site pizza wagon was really good.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Pizzas on Friday were amazing. It's a very chilled site. The guy running it was so so helpful and cheerful too. Thoroughly recommend and will return.

Fantastic campsite with lots of different pitches to choose from. Friendly staff. Showers and toilet block are currently being rebuilt so a bit of building site. Electric showers are very temperamental as 90% of the water leaks out and temperature fluctuates from scalding hot to freezing cold - not good when you have young children. You can hire a fire pit and buy wood (honesty box) which was great for toasting marshmallows. There is a small cabin where you can get freshly made pizzas in the evenings and coffees in the morning. Once the facilities are finished, this place will be amazing but it is perfectly good now.

A beautiful location but felt the site requires better signage on where and how to contact the owner with telephone number to check-in. The shower block and toilets are still being built and, although accessible and usable, don't look that attractive on the exterior. Access to the bridle path running by the campsite could also be made as well as sign posted.

Brook Farm camping occupies a beautiful location on the edge of the Blean Woods Nature Reserve and has easy access into Whitstable and surrounding areas. We stayed 4 nights and the campsite was quiet- it was great that we never had to queue for a shower or the toilet. I would imagine that in busy times this would not be the same. We were a little surprised that the setting was not quite as the website showed. The yard was overflowing with rubbish, the old toilet was not removed but made its presence in terms of smell (which was very off putting), making using the cleaning station next to it an unpleasant experience. Unfortunately the 'Arbbys Cafe' was not operational while we were there and the surrounding area of picnic benches looked messy and uncared for, not the image in the photos again. The shower block and toilet block functioned well and the toilet roll and air freshener were appreciated, though the building is unfinished with a wooden ramp to access, and no roof or cladding on the walls. Again, not quite as promised. We did enjoy ourselves but felt the experience was a bit let down by the poor state of the facilities.
Site's response
Thank you so much for your review, Clare. We would love to clarify some of the issues you raised regarding the campsite. Your arrival was following a bank holiday weekend, so as you can imagine with a vast increase of people, we had more waste than usual, which was subsequently picked up and removed. Arbys café is open every Saturday and Sunday within the summer season between 8:30-11 and likewise with pizzas in the evenings on Friday and Saturday nights. Our picnic benches were handcrafted and painted this year but we believe the new café area is a vast upgrade to the previous location of the café as we now have the solar festoon lighting and a courtyard style area! The 'yard' you are referring to is likely to be the car park and we had an unfortunate group that decided not to use the bins but following a quick litter pick up from the staff, the car park was back to being lovely and clear but appreciate the concern. Our washing up area is getting a revamp over the off season with a covered area being added and further sinks and taps to allow a better washing up experience. We do also have an eco toilet on site that may have caused unwanted smells, however this is due to hot weather and is emptied regularly to prevent unwanted aromas. The toilet and shower block has remained unchanged during the upgrade of the building, however we agree the exterior at the time may have looked untidy, we are on the final stages of the upgrade and are excited to reveal our improved facilities for the 2024 season. Following these improvements we have heavily reduced our prices in comparison to other surrounding sites and offer a family friendly, quiet site in which you do not have to pay for showers, you have toilet roll and shower gel provided and you're not squashed into having campers close by. We hope to welcome you next year to ease your concerns and ensure you love our beautiful site!
