A delightful and idyllic country site set within the grounds of handsome Netherwood House and backing onto the Shropshire Union Canal. Visit Chester by walking along the towpath and take in the many pubs and eateries along the way. This is the perfect location for both the city and the surrounding Cheshire Countryside.
This is a quiet but scenic rural site within easy travelling distance to the city and surrounding countryside. The site is only 2 1/2 miles from Chester yet it has a quiet, rural aspect. From Netherwood, you can walk to two local villages with all the amenities you need. Numbers are never overcrowded as there are 15 electrical pitches plus a large recreational field ideal for tents. All the pitches are surrounded by the shelter of neat trees, on well-mown grass.
Open from 1 March to 31 October
These electric grass pitches are grass with a sub level of gravel.

Is Netherwood for you?
The answer is yes if you...
Want a quiet but scenic rural site within easy travelling distance to the city and surrounding countryside.
Enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Want a campsite where the whole family feel safe and enjoy.
Respect other people and their belongings.
NO, Netherwood is not for you if...
You like playing music loudly into the early hours of the morning.
You are part of a large 'single sex' group i.e. stag and hen parties.
You like to spoil a relaxed friendly atmosphere with bad language/noise.
Watch the sun go down over the tree-lined horizon as you sit outside your van or enjoy the rabbits and wildlife play when you open your curtains in the morning. Wildlife spotting is popular on site.
There is also a rustic play frame on site and children love to feed the ducks from the canal towpath.
Walking, or taking the dog out for exercise is great in the area thanks to the gorgeous surrounding countryside. It's also very popular for cycling. The wonderful Delamere Forest and The Sandstone Trail are the ideal locations to get fit.
A little further afield there are castles- Beeston Castle, Cholmondely Castle and Errdig Castle are all top family attractions. If you prefer stately homes, Tatton Park, home of the RHS flower show and the grand Eaton Hall is unmissable.
The local village of Christleton (5 mins walk) has a public swimming pool for you to splash around in as well as a duck pond and top football pitches. The village of Waverton has fun for older children in the form of an outdoor adventure park called The Crocky Trail. You can walk there in around 30 minutes or drive in under 10.
Don't forget the other large attractions within a short drive:
