About Coverack Camping

Visitors comment on how friendly and welcoming this site is, with its spacious pitches positioned over five fields for privacy. Grass pitches without electric offer space for tents and tourers, and there are a set of grass pitches with electric. Bring a fire pit and get the BBQ going, or toast up some marshmallows from your pitch as dusk falls. Fire pits are available to hire and wood can be purchased on site. Sparkling clean, environmentally friendly facilities are in place offering all you need. If glamping is more your thing stay in the triple insulated Celtic Pod Tent, sleeping up to four. Outside there is a fire pit and grill for al fresco dining. The Celtic Longhouse Tents sleep up to six and are great for families, finished with single beds, a kitchen, a sofa and an outside area with a fire pit and grill. Just minutes away are walks along the coast, a local beach and water sport options. Coverack is a great place to base yourself, just half an hour from Kynance Cove or 40 mins from St Michael's Mount. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.

Coverack Camping is open from 28/03 to 03/11.

A note from the site themselves...

We, Jake and Annette Roskilly have been very fortunate to inherit this well-established campsite from Jake's uncle and aunt, Ben and Georgia. Jake was born here and has lived most of his life on the Roskilly Ice Cream Farm, Annette is German and has lived in Frankfurt, Germany and worked as a care home manager until love brought her to Coverack.

We took over the campsite in 2021 and realised our campers wanted plenty of space with good basic facilities, for us, it was important not to change the character while making the campsite as eco-friendly and as close to nature as possible.

The campsite as it was was definitely no frills. Ben encouraged his campers to bring tool kits for maintenance purposes! He was a real character and people loved him for it.

Over the past 60 years, many regular campers have been returning year after year to this great location just above Coverack village

We are proud of our wild hedges and have been extensively planting native trees and bushes to enhance and create shelter. We love our campsite without artificial light at night, you can see the milky way, hear the owls calling and the sound of the sea. We hope you enjoy this close to wild camping experience.

It truly is a blessing to have met such a varied and interesting group of people over the years. Here's to many more memories and connections to be made.

Jake and Annette

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Main Field)Apr 2023

I loved the place! From the really friendly greetings when I arrived to the perfect pitch which had a stunning view of the sea. I appreciated the sustainable ethos of the place and the well thought out facilities. The location was ideal for exploring the area without having to drive, with an easy walk down to Coverack and access to the coastal path. A great weekend!

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Main Field)Sep 2023

If you are looking for an almost wild site but with some facilities, then this is perfect, quiet site with stunning views and basic facilities. For me it was perfection, as I don't like commercial sites with lots of concrete. Lovely walk down to the harbour, with lovely fish and chips and a stunning beach. Great site and fully recommend to all that like the quieter side of camping.
