About Pleasant Streams Farm Camping

Set in lovely rural surroundings, the farm has plenty of space. You'll camp in pretty fields and close to a gentle stream. A small lake with a rowing boat and an abundance of wildlife is the finishing touch. At this relaxed spot there are no set pitches, so you can pitch your tent where you choose. Campfires are permitted in designated fire rings and you can buy wood on site. For those looking to park up and have their home ready there are five cute, bell tents for hire: Willow, Cherry Blossom, Billy Blue and Rose each sleep six. The Lily Pad emperor bell tent sleeps five. All the bell tents are located in their own private area of a separate field to the camping field. They have views of the lakes and countryside and are very peaceful. Each has a table and chairs set up for outdoor dining and they are all fully equipped with linen and own kitchen just outside. Guests are free to use the camping field toilets and showers as well. A cream tea or home made cake is included upon arrival. A real retreat from it all! Often found on site are wild geese, owls, hawks, buzzards, herons, jays, rabbits, foxes, badgers, field mice and trout in the stream. There are also resident friendly animals - the miniature goats Matilda and Snowflake, miniature pigs Rodney and Del Boy and some chickens and ducks (whose eggs you can buy for your brekkie). Simple and natural is the ethos here. Due to the local wildlife, unfortunately no pets are allowed. Children love to explore, try wading in the stream in wellies, rowing around the lake, looking for the farm animals or hunting for the hidden rope swing.

Facilities and amenities

Back to basics facilities include a toilet and shower block with free hot water, logs for sale for your campfire and charging for mobile phones. There are wooden bridges and rope swings for kids to play. Guests have access to a small rowing boat on the lake which is free to use and a small wooden summerhouse with some board games for the children.

There are no washing up sinks but you can fill a bowl with water to take back to your tent and clean dishes. Alternatively, there is a restaurant five mins away and a pub and shop in the village for all your needs.

Large Tent - Large Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2022

Cars keep coming and going past our tent past midnight. Not great when you are trying to sleep after all day walking and swimming. I felt the price for 2 night was quite a lot.

Beautiful and peaceful location

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2022

Really lovely location set next to a pond with free roaming ducks. Plenty of space for pitches and good facilities close to the camping location. Would definitely recommend for families with children and those looking for a peaceful break from the hustle and bustle.

Go for it!

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2022

If you love nature, and both peace and beautiful landscape, stay at this campsite. My son and I spent a wonderful time there. We enjoyed meeting the ducks, a very small rooster and two goats. The other campers, too, enjoyed the site and were pleasant to be around.
