Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field)May 2024

Very impressed and certainly value for money. Looked at this site as a last minute booking but so glad we did now. Whilst it's a massive site, it is very clean and well managed. Lovely walk to the beach and great views across the Channel. Staff very polite and lovely pools. Will certainly return.

Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches (Main Field)May 2024

very good location good facilities. The only thing that was not excellent was the WIFI. The first night we stayed the park was full so I understand wifi might not be up to scratch. The following 3 nights the WiFi kept dropping out even tho there was onlyba handful of vans on the site. We had a number of devices that could not connect. Apart from that excellent site and facilities

Great stay at freshwater bay

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field)May 2024

We stayed at Freshwater for the 1st May bank holiday weekend. After reading other reviews, we decided to stay in the top field, as it was supposed to be quieter than the main field. I don't know if the main field was noisy at night, but it is located next to the pool, entertainment, bar etc. The top field, which is only a couple of minutes walk from the entertainment, was certainly quiet though. Even though it was busy due to the bank holiday, by 10pm there was almost no noise other than a few whispers going to and from the toilet block. The site is well looked after, shower block and toilets were all very clean. Our tent was at the far end of the field, a bit too far to go for those middle of the night toilet dashes, so we took a toilet tent with us, which we were so grateful for. We didn't get to use the pool, which we were a bit gutted about. You can book an hour's swim session with slots becoming available 24 hours before. They are snapped up quickly. There's a heated outdoor pool, not sure if that uses the same booking system. Or there's the massive pool next to the beach, which you definitely don't need to book, if you don't mind salt water ;) We ate in the restaurant, the sun terrace is a lovely touch. The food was lovely but service, for us, was very slow! The shop is very well stocked. Kids loved the arcades. The entertainment looked brilliant for the younger ones, we popped our heads in and it looked very interactive and the bar was full of guests! The football pitch was an absolute winner for our boys. And the beach is so pretty (take water shoes if you're going in for a dip as it's shingles). Overall, a very nice site in a lovely location.

Lovely site. Everyone was so friendly but not sure if we will return as we felt it was so noisy. Such a shame.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Main Field)May 2024

Took an 18 month old and a 4 year old for the May Bank Holiday to go fossil hunting. Great location and lots of activities on site. Very close to many beaches along the Dorset coast (eg Lime Regis, Monmouth, Charmouth etc), but could also probably go several days without needing to use the car as we could use the beach on site, or walk along the cliffs/beach. The site felt safe without being over bearing. The 4 year old loved the pool, and the playground and running around with other children. I suspect they will enjoy it more when a bit older. Staff and campers were friendly. Facilities were good, clean and well maintained. The pitches are a good size but with little separation. The site seemed to be at 50%-60% capacity. I would worry that at full capacity, the site might be quite cramped/crowded, but that would be the same for that part of the world anyway. We plan to return.

Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field)Mar 2024

We booked this site at the last minute having had our booking at a nearby site cancelled as it was under water from recent heavy rain. The grass pitch was waterlogged and our motorhome instantly got stuck in the mud. The site staff were incredibly helpful and our hero Michael pulled us out with his tractor, moved us to another pitch and pushed us on! The site is right on the beach, a short walk from Burton Bradstock and within walking distance of West Bay. We didn't use the swimming pools or restaurant, but these facilities would be ideal for those with children. The well-stocked shop was appreciated as was the bar overlooking the beach. Toilets and showers were kept spotless despite the mud. We actually extended our stay for another 2 nights moving to a hard standing pitch - again pulled out of the mud by Michael! Although expensive compared to other sites, it would be good value if we had utilised all the available leisure facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Great park

You couldn't ask for a better location. There's lots of facilities on site but they are very family oriented.
