Pitch up your tent on four acres of flat grass pitches and unwind in this tranquil part of Shropshire countryside. In easy reach of two great country pubs, the Montgomery canal, tea rooms and Canadian canoe hire.

About Fairhaven Camping and Glamping Certificated Site
Situated in the Shropshire village of Maesbury, just outside the market town of Oswestry, the site is the ideal place for you if you're looking for a chilled time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Camping is on a sheltered and flat, 4-acre field with plenty of space to pitch up and relax. Tents, trailer tents and motorhomes are all welcome. But, if you're wanting to camp in style, then you also have the option of either a cosy bell tent or a charming shepherd's hut. The bell tents will already be set up for you, but everything else you will need to bring, including your bed and bedding. Choose between the smaller 4m bell tents sleeping up to four, or the larger 5m bell tent sleeping up to six. For even more of a relaxing and romantic stay, try the site's Willowdene shepherd's hut. Inside is a cosy double bed, with linen provided, along with a wood burning stove, gas and electric and a sink. Outside you will find your own sheltered campers kitchen with a cooker, kettle, cool box, table and chairs, BBQ and fire pit. You will also have a separate hut with your ensuite bathroom in which includes a showroom, toilet and towels. If you're wanting to cook up a fry up in the morning, you can even buy fresh eggs from the chickens and ducks on site. This is a Freedom Camping Club CS and membership is free. BBQs are allowed and fire pits are available to hire. Dogs are welcome with camping guests only, free of charge. They are not allowed in the glamping accommodation and must be kept on the lead at all times.

Facilities include two flushing toilets, sinks, two free hot showers, washing up area and use of a fridge. Eggs from the site's chickens and ducks are available to buy.
The Knockin Shop is the closest shop, five minutes away. There are two pubs serving traditional food within a 15 minute walk, The Original Ball Inn and The Navigation Inn.

Things to do on site and in the Oswestry area
When you're not onsite, there's a range of things to do including walking, cycling and canoeing. The Montgomery canal is also just a short walk away.
Golf is available at the Mile End Golf Club (five minutes), with a driving range. Or if you prefer fishing, you can head to Weston Pools, also just a five minute drive away.
Go karting and paintballing are available at Rednal (10 minutes), or there's a climbing wall less than five minutes away.
Stonehouse Brewery and distillery is only five minutes away with a super tour and great food served inside or outside.
A bus stop outside the site provides easy access to Oswestry and Shrewsbury.
