Stay at Ebury Hill and you'll be joining a line of guests that goes back nearly 3,000 years - originally developed as a hill fort in the Iron Age, it is now the perfect place to explore the Shropshire countryside and local towns and villages.
The area is steeped in history. One of the highlights is Ironbridge Gorge, which features ten award-winning museums spread along the River Severn, and brings the Victorian era to life as well as offering a variety of interactive exhibits and displays. You can also step back in time at Wroxeter, probably one of the largest Roman settlements in the UK, and at the Severn Valley Railway, where steam-hauled trains run along 16 miles of track from Bridgenorth to Kidderminster. Non-members welcome.
