The Laurels Certificated Location is set in the peaceful Shropshire countryside, offering a basic touring stay on a working farm. There are five electric hardstanding pitches onsite, welcoming those in campervans, caravans and motorhomes. The amenities of Wem are a five minute drive away, including pubs, shops and a train station. For days out, you will also be within a 20 minute drive of Ellesmere and Hawkstone Park Follies, great for walkers.

About The Laurels Certificated Location
This small, farm site enjoys open views across fields and countryside. With minimal onsite facilities and a limited amount of pitches, it is great for those looking to switch off and unwind. There are just five hardstanding pitches onsite, each measuring around 9m x 3m and allowing up to six guests. Each pitch features a 16 amp hook up with a grassed area to the site. Campervans, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome, though guests must have access to their own facilities. The area is peaceful and quiet and walking/cycling is easy from the site with Wem only a 25 minute stroll away. Hawkstone Park and Ellesmere Lakes are also within a 20 minute drive, perfect for keen walkers and those looking to enjoy days in the outdoors. For evenings in the open. be sure to bring along the BBQ, just ensure it is raised from the ground. Please note, fire pits are prohibited. Dogs are welcome to join you for your stay, but please keep them on the site as farm animals are nearby. Please note, this site is a member of the Caravan and Motorhome Club, therefore guests will need a membership to book.
The Laurels Certificated Location is open all year round.
There are no toilet or shower facilities onsite. Guests will have access to water (though this is not drinkable).
Within a five minute drive, you will find the town of Wem with a Costcutter, Premier and pubs including the Hawkestone Arms and The White Lion. Here there is also a train station.

Things to do on site and in the Shrewsbury area
For keen walkers, a trip to Hawkstone Park Follies is a must. Explore 100 acres of parkland with challenging hikes up hills and caves. There is even a tearoom for a well deserved treat afterwards!
Shrewsbury is also within a 20 minute drive where you can visit Shrewsbury Abbey and Shrewsbury Castle. The Quarry also offers a scenic park with waterside strolls along the River Severn.
If you are a wildlife enthusiast, Battlefield Bird of Prey Centre formerly Battlefield Falconry Centre is a 20 minute drive away. Have hands-on experiences with majestic birds of prey and capture some great photos too.
