Tyncornel Hostel and its garden campsite are in the Cambrian Mountains at the head of the beautiful Doethie Valley, as is the self-contained shepherd's hut. Try family friendly camping with wonderful views of the surrounding hills.
Come to Tyncornel if you want to get away from it all. All the indoor facilities of the hostel are on offer, but you have a chance to really get back to nature and escape the bustle of city life. Pitches are within a grassed garden area without electric, to suit small tents only. There is also a fully self-contained shepherd's hut. It's important to book in advance. Picnic tables on the patio have stunning views. Between March and November, a warden is present most weeks. Sorry, dogs cannot stay.

During the day, be on the look out for interesting birds and at night you're in the right spot for stargazing. The mountains are a Dark Skies area, known for their clear skies (and low light pollution).
