Eco-friendly campsite set on a farm in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, great for keen walkers
Just a short ten minute drive from beautiful beaches - Whitesands, Newgale, Caerfai and Abereiddy
Family and eco campsite located on the St Davids Peninsula at the western tip of Pembrokeshire, where the intoxicating fresh sea air is guaranteed to blow away any cobwebs. The wild and open landscapes, low horizons and craggy coastline are exhilarating to explore. There are five grass camping pitches and one deluxe pitch set within the two acres of level and secluded meadow. Originally part of a 13 acre market garden, the space is now divided into three paddocks, each surrounded and protected by willows. The spacious pitches all measure 10m x 10m, each pitch has a movable picnic table and a fire pit and is separated from its neighbour by an empty pitch. You are welcome to bring a gazebo for no extra charge providing that it fits on your pitch alongside your tent. The deluxe pitch has its own dedicated kitchen set alongside and is fully equipped with everything you'll need for your campfire suppers including a picnic table. Your own outdoor shower is next to the kitchen and your own fridge freezer is situated in the main shower block. All pitches allow up to five people. Being a little inland ensures the site is more sheltered. You'll be happy to carry on camping, while those on the cliffs are forced to decamp in high winds! Campfires are welcome when supervised and are a lovely touch on a summer's night.
Spring Meadow Farm Campsite is open from 17/05 to 01/09.

Whitesands Bay is ten minutes away on the west coast and is a stunning sandy beach, great for any activity, from building sandcastles to body boarding or surfing. You can also get onto the coastal path from the car park and head in either direction to walk as many miles as you want. The accompanying sea and cliff-top views are stunning.
Keep a look out for choughs on the scrubby headlands as you approach St Davids Head (10 minutes). At the top of a long, stepped descent to a small inlet, look up and scan the horizon and you will pick up the outline of a neolithic burial chamber, Coetan Arthur. Keep going and don't miss the five hut circles guarding the point. If you're lucky, you may even be able to spot a school of porpoises off the point.
Abereiddy Bay is also just a ten minute drive from the campsite, a small beach, stony above the waterline, but sandy further in and a great beach for swimming. A steep walk up the coast path brings you to the Blue Pool, an old flooded slate quarry where organised coasteering parties create the opportunity for the more adventurous to jump into the blue waters below.
For a unique step back in time, head to Castell Henllys Iron Age Village, a 40 minute drive away. The attraction offers visitors the chance to be transported back to The Iron Age where you can meet traditional tribes and see how humans would have lived thousands of years ago.
