River's Edge

On the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, River's Edge is beautifully situated above the banks of the Tawe. This award winning, adult-only pod is quiet and peaceful with just the one pod onsite. Inside is a well equipped kitchenette, ensuite bathroom, flat screen TV and WiFi. Enjoy hotel-quality towels and bedding and a double bed with a Hypnos luxury mattress to help ensure a great night's sleep. No dogs, sorry.

About River's Edge

Set in the gardens of Little London, this adult-only glamping pod here is ideally located for exploring Brecon Beacons National Park with its plethora of nearby reservoirs, waterfalls and mountains. Snuggle up on the swing seat and listen to the river running by. The pod sits on the banks of the River Tawe and offers a tranquil glamping experience. Head up three decked steps and you'll find the double doors opening onto a kitchen/lounge area equipped with everything you need for your self-catering break. With a dual electric hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine, hospitality tray and plenty of crockery. The pod is heated, and suitable for all year round use, so you can escape for a few days at any time of year. The ensuite has a shower, toilet and sink with high quality towels and bedding and complimentary toiletries too. The pod has WiFi and a Chrome cast for the TV. Outside is a perfect spot for alfresco dining too with a small covered deck providing space for all your outside gear and a double swing seat for a great spot to relax in. The private outside area comes with a table, chairs and a gas BBQ. There is also plenty of outside storage for your muddy boots and coats. If adventure is your thing, the site is only a drive away from the Four Waterfalls walk, Hendrhyd Falls, Pen Y Fan and as many other mountains as you wish to climb! Should you visit in the sunny months, there are several beautiful beaches within 30 30-minute drive. In short, if you want mountains, beaches or to just to hide away and recharge, the pod is the perfect place to do just that. Sorry, no children or pets.

River's Edge is open from 02/01 to 31/12.

Pod - Glamping PodOct 2023

Thanks you so much for a lovely break to celebrate our Wedding anniversary. We couldn't have chosen better accommodation. The pod exceeded expectations in every way. Everything had been thought of and all of the facilities were of a high standard. If you wanted to cook you could, using the microwave and hob, and not only that, we had access to a BBQ which was perfect as the weather was so good this weekend. The bed was comfortable and the pod was warm and cozy. Great shower and toilet facilities, which were pristinely clean. The location is private and has a lovely view into the countryside, through trees and fields and you had the roar of the river which runs nearby. You can look down through the trees and see the river at the bottom. You also might see a squirrel or 2 jumping between the trees and along the fence, which we did on a few occasions. We spent each evening sat on the porch area and enjoyed the outdoors and sounds of nature whilst sipping a glass of wine and a beer. Hosts Catherine and Gareth were very friendly and accommodating and whilst we didn't need to ask for anything, they were on hand and available should we have needed to contact them. We will definitely be back in the future and cannot recommend this location highly enough.

Great location, with outdoor seating that looks over the river. A short drive away from waterfalls and show caves. The pod had everything we needed, and more. Lovely hosts. Would definitely recommend, and I'm sure we will be back!

Pod - Glamping PodMar 2024

We really enjoyed our stay here, it was in a beautiful location next to a river and woodland, and is perfect for hiking in the Bannau Brycheiniog. We had a super relaxing time as the sound of the river was always in the background. Great facilities - we cooked all our meals and the kitchen had everything we needed (Microwave/oven, hob, utensils, crockery, pans and a gas BBQ). A very cozy pod - we could definitely have stayed longer! The hosts were lovely too, we met them when we arrived and left.
