Ideal for avid wild campers or adventures alike, this quiet off-grid site is perfect for escaping the crowds. The site is surrounded by wonderful walking spots, with the Scout Dike Reservoir and Longdendale Trail both within a 15 minute drive. The site has just four pitches on the two acre field, each with a fire pit alongside for evenings in the open. Each pitch is non electric, allowing tents only and up to four guests, so the site will never be too busy. There are also plenty of nearby attractions to keep you busy, including Holmfirth Vineyard (10 minutes) which is great for wine lovers. All of the amenities of Huddersfield are also just 25 minutes away, so you'll never be short of things to do. BBQs are also welcome onsite, perfect for some al fresco cooking. There are two pubs also within a short 20 minute walk, a great way to meet some of the locals. Please note, the site has no shower facilities and is also dog free.

For learning about some local history, Castle Hill is 20 minutes away. Dating back to the 1600's, the site was originally an Iron Age fort, and now the ruins stand high on a hilltop, making a great picnic spot too.
