VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2024

Near Sissinghurst, 15 minutes drive, Scotney castle, 10 minutes, the lake , and pinetum, coastal sites an hour or so, Wadhurst, Tunbridge if you want shops and cafes and many pubs around too. Beautiful woods and walks in Sussex countryside, although the roads are very busy, especially the Hastings road running right by it. The whole site is well run , thoughtfully laid out and has what is needed. Clear instructions, good reception . Originally I booked campsite, upgraded to a room in motel and ended up with a good chalet for a week, due to my needs, so kind too! I saw play facillities for children , good spacing on campsite, the chalet had own parking and was comfortable, warm , easy cooking facillities, and very clean, well thought out. Could visit friends locally and many beautiful sites ( Sissinghurst, Scotney Castle, Beachy head, so also quite near the sea and seaside towns.

Great location!

Small Tent - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2023

I stayed here for 4 nights in the second week in September. The site was tidy and very nice. I had electric hook up and was allocated a pitch. You can pitch anywhere if you're not in need of electric and the site has some lovely wooded areas that looked great. Very good location for visiting Bewl Water, Bayham Abbey and Scotney Castle. The A21 runs next to the site and is a very busy road and can be noisy, but this did not bother me. The toilets and showers were very clean and the staff at reception were very helpful and nice. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay again.
