Historic just isn't a big enough word for Cenarth village, which has a bridge that dates back two centuries and a quaint flour mill which dates back even further. Once you've dipped into its quirky shops, get ready for a nibble at Caws Cenarth Cheese which is a tasty 10 minute hop away.
For a wider selection, nip in the car for five minutes to Newcastle Emlyn where you can get the kids splashing around in an indoor pool or pick the freshest of the fresh from a farmer's market.
Less than half an hour in the car will have you along the coastline, watching dolphins at Cardigan Bay or grabbing your flip flops for beaches like Poppit Sands and Aberporth Beach.
