It was the stunning far-reaching views from this spot on our family farm that made us think we had something really special here that we could share with others.
This beautiful part of North Wales is a bit of a hidden gem. From Cae Main Shepherd's Hut (Cae Main is the name of the field….it means long field in Welsh) you can admire the spectacular Clwydian Range chain of mountains
So together with the sense of open spaces, fresh air and the natural environment, I wanted to create a private glamping destination for guests. I definitely did not want to create a street of glamping pods. With just one shepherd's hut set in its own vast paddock, next door to the sheep, guests can enjoy the whole place for themselves.
I love providing guests with a space to unwind, relax and connect with nature and the outdoors. I also wanted to create a stylish and homely feel and tried to think of things guests needed for a comfortable stay.
I'm so pleased that many refer to the "comfy bed", "everything you need", "beautiful views" and the "home from home" nature of their glamping experience here at Cae Main Shepherd's Hut.
I look forward to welcoming you to our special slice of North Wales.
Sleeping two, this offers a double bed, well equipped kitchenette, complimentary tea/coffee, electric fire and Smart TV. Private bathroom facilities in a shared amenity hut close by.
My friend and I stayed here for one night. We had a nice walk around the local lanes before heading back to light a fire, have a hot chocolate as the sun set over the fields in front of the hut, then inside to get cosy and relax for the night.
The toilet and shower rooms were very nice, the facilities in the hut itself were great - all new and in good working order. The bed was comfy and plenty of cushions and blankets available. The area is lovely and quiet. Ample parking space, lots of privacy, friendly helpful owner and couldn't fault anything 👍🏻

I have stayed at the hut a few times now, it is my fave place to escape to in the UK!
Delyth the host is so helpful and accommodating, always on hand to help out and answer any questions.
The hut itself is very secluded, with absolute privacy guaranteed. Spotlessly clean and super cosy. Lots of little touches to make it feel like home, I love visiting here and will be back for sure!

We have stayed here several times, and each time we can't wait to come back!
Where to start... it is immaculately clean, with everything you could need for a short stay. The bed is super comfortable and longer than you would expect in a Shepherds hut, my partner is 6ft and he slept with no issues. There is a fire pit outside with wood supplied and a griddle to put over the pit so that you can have a little BBQ if you like. I would take a lighter as if it's a damp night, the matches supplied may not light. We also took extra fire lighters, which came in handy too.
On to the spectacular views, well what can I say, they are absolutely fantastic from all directions. You also have complete privacy as there is nobody around and where the hut is situated is not overlooked by anything. The bathroom and toilet facilities are just yards away from the hut, with a well lit pathway for the evening. Another fab facility is the outdoor shelter, which means you can still sit outside and enjoy the countryside with a drink even if it's raining!
The host is fantastic and you will be greeted with some lovely little extras, which are locally produced. These included hand made chocolate and marshmallows (for toasting on the fire pit) tea, coffee, sugar and a little jug of milk to start you off. Lots of information is also provided with regards to places to visit and eat, and I would highly recommend the Leyland Arms, which is only a short drive away (pre book if you can).
We can not recommend this special place enough to anyone looking to get away from it all. We will be booking again very soon!
