Ideally located for the many walks/hikes the Lake District has to offer, The Church House enjoys a stunning setting surrounded by ancient woodland and lush fields home to the resident Herdwick sheep. The site is also home to a luxury glamping pod, situated in its own private setting (away from the touring site here) and sleeping up to four. Whether you're looking for a romantic escape or an idyllic base for your family holiday, this is sure to fit the bill. Equipped with its own ensuite with toilet and shower, the pod also features a four person hot tub and fire pit - a gazebo ensures wet weather won't get in the way of luxury either! Inside you'll be treated to double bed and pull out sofa bed, kitchenette and dining area. All bedding and towels included. Outdoor table and chairs are ready for dining alfresco too. Pets welcome.

There's plenty of opportunities for soaking up the Lake District scenery, with the Old Man of Coniston in short distance for keen climbers or Coniston Water for those who favour a gentle lakeside stroll.
While at Coniston Water, explore the nearby woodland or take to the water - the Coniston Boating Centre has a selection of paddleboards, canoes, row boats and more available to hire.
Alternatively, cruise over the lake in style on a steam powered yacht! The Steam Yacht Gondola sets off from the Coniston Pier between 1st April - 31st Oct and is run by the National Trust.
Head east of Coniston Water and you'll reach the dense woodland at Grizedale Forest Park. Featuring its very own Go Ape adventure course in the trees plus a selection of adventure walks, sculpture park and mountain bike rental.
