Although I only used it as a nighttime base, I found the site very clean and the owners and staff really friendly (what little contact I had with them all!) will definitely stay again, as it’s a handy place for a hobby of mine!

Very muddy when we arrived, but that can't be helped. The staff were all very helpful, the showers were great.

Great place, easy access and good location for visiting all that Somerset and Bristol have to offer. Toilets and showers immaculately clean. Great fun for kids and dogs very welcome. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Take a torch as it's pitch black at night - just perfect for star gazing. Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff to greet you on arrival, location is great and the site is very spacious. The toilet/shower facilities feel slightly cheap compared to other places we have stayed.

Could have been a little cheaper as you also had electric to add on to the cost on arrival. It was very hot when we arrived and one of the staff at check in went out of their way to get a bowl of water for our dog which I thought was nice. All staff we met were very friendly. Shower and toilets were clean and tidy.

Brilliant site. We went for a spontaneous night away camping for me, my wife and young daughter. As soon as we arrived the service was great and we were escorted to our pitch and made to feel really welcome which for such a big site is so reassuring. Pitches were all nice and spaced out, even though it was busy it didn't feel like it at all. Great facilities with toilet and showers and also brilliant breakfast and coffee stands. Also the fire pits were perfect for cooking our marshmallows on. Can't wait to stay again next year.

It was the busiest, yet friendliest, site I have ever stayed on. Good atmosphere, great for families and groups. Staff were really helpful. We were there over August bank holiday and staff worked incredibly hard to make it work smoothly. Congratulations to the team at Petruth!

My partner and I stayed at the campsite for two nights and enjoyed every minute. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, ushered into our pitch and explained where everything was. The campsite is in a quiet location, close to Cheddar Gorge. The facilities are superb, well-kept and clean. Despite the site being busy due to BH weekend, it didn't feel crowded, there were no queues for showers or toilets. The site seems well managed, with team members on-site late into the evening. Quite a few food trucks on-site (pizza and tiramisu is highly recommended!) A shop with all the essentials was also open well past 8 pm. We'd definitely stay again.

We arrived after torrential rain so everything was muddy but staff were friendly, helpful and upbeat. Got taken straight to a lovely pitch and asked for extra space as we have a large tent which wasn't a problem at all. It was clearly a very busy weekend at the campsite but everything was great and the facilities were cleaned relentlessly to keep them nice and clean. Great location, a short walk from the village and Gorge. Really enjoyable stay and would highly recommend.

Had such a good night here, so much so, we returned for another stay on the 20th. Really enjoyed our night here that we decided to use it again for another night on our return trip. Booked it the night before and it was easy and quick to book online. Definitely recommend this site.

Great park. Would have given 5 stars on cleanliness, but the first day was a bit ropey. But that was down to the fact that they had some pretty nasty weather up until we arrived, so there was mud everywhere, Not their fault, but you tell it how you see it. You can get cheaper sites, but even though it was a bit over the odds price wise, it suited me and obviously a lot of others as the site was quite busy even with the weather being not that good. And you get what you pay for. Apart from that, the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much for them to deal with. I would certainly go there again. It was perfectly located for what I wanted to do. Thanks to all the team. Really enjoyed our stay. First time I have gone camping and stayed the full duration, so that's got to say something for them. And the weather which we got lucky on. I am sure I will visit again in the years to come.

Wet weather made the field waterlogged and muddy. Could do with better drainage. Reasonably good facilities. Friendly staff.

What can we say, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left the owners and staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, and that goes from top to bottom. We didn't want to leave and would definitely return 😊 Perfect location for all the local attractions and plenty of pubs and places to eat including onsite. Our first trip away in our campervan and if all trips are like this one, then fantastic!!

A great freewheeling camping place with fantastic campsite deliveries including fire braziers and ice cream on a bike. Jules the host is charming and full of help and enthusiasm. A quick walk or cycle to Cheddar or the car boot sale.

What a great campsite! The showers and toilets were the best I've been to on a campsite. Really friendly staff. My car battery went dead on the day I was leaving and the helpful staff managed to give me a hand. A good selection of fields for all types of people. Family, adult and quiet.
