Family-run campsite with views over the fishing pond and Croglin Beck river
Close to Nature Reserves with lovely trails and just a 30 minute to the Lake District
This peaceful campsite is set on a working farm in the Eden Valley. You'll feel relaxed as you gaze out over the picturesque surrounding countryside. There is a range of grass pitches for campers and tourers to choose between. Alder is a small secluded pitch for up to four people, and Kingfisher is a secluded pitch with views over the pond for up to six people. Each of these has its own private toilet, doesn't have electric and allows small tents only. There are then six non electric grass pitches suitable for a maximum of six people in either tents or campervans. Finally, there are non grass pitches with 16 amp electric hook up, also allowing six people in tents and campervans only. Each of these two options has its own fire pit, picnic bench and fishing lake views. Alternatively, you can opt for one of the three glamping options. The 5m unfurnished bell tent allows up to four people, has electric supply and outside its own fire pit and picnic bench. Nearby is also a private toilet and shared shower facilities. You must bring everything else you usually would for regular camping. The furnished 5m Bella bell tent is complete with a double bed and two single blow up beds for four people. There is a kettle and complimentary tea, as well as a fire pit, seating and a complimentary basket of logs. For something truly special, the "Big Bertha" airstream caravan is great for six people. This unique 1973 airstream has a double bed, set of bunks and convertible dining benches. There's an ensuite with a toilet and shower, lounge area and well-equipped kitchenette. Outside is a large decking with seating and a fire pit. All of the pitches are spacious and have beautiful waterside views as the Croglin Beck river winds its way through the site. As a result, wildlife is abundant here and includes roe deer, red squirrels, barn owls and kingfishers! No dogs allowed, sorry.
The site is open from 29th March to the end of October, bell tents are available from 24th May.
