A family friendly camping, touring and glamping site off the beaten track, set in the idyllic Lake District National Park with views over the mountains. There are a total of just nine grass pitches, five of which include electric hook up. A maximum of six people are allowed per pitch in tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. There is also an unfurnished pod available if you don't want to bring your own unit, sleeping up to four people. For something a little more luxurious, the site also has three glamping cabins. Sleeping up to five guests, the pod structures are equipped with a double bedroom and triple bedroom with a double and single bunk bed. Inside you will have a lovely open-plan living area with a lounge enjoying picturesque panoramic views, a TV, fully equipped kitchenette complete with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. The units also come with a shower room and are fully insulated with heating and an electric wood-burner, perfect for those chillier months! Outside, you will also have your own al fresco dining area with a picnic bench and BBQ, great for making the most of the warm summer evenings There is an abundance of wildlife, as well as the site's own friendly donkeys and sheep who guests are welcome to meet and feed carrots too! You can walk all around the fields and directly into Parkgate Wood where there are many walks along the forestry tracks but also little secret paths through the forest. Dogs are welcome onsite just please keep them on the lead and away from the friendly donkeys. Campfires and BBQs are welcome as long as they are raised off the grass. The site also offers a range of holiday cottages and static caravans.

There are many local walks along paths, bridleways and forestry tracks both low level and leading up onto the fells. Or you can get in your car and drive up to Wasdale Head (about 25 minutes) and walk on the high fells including England's highest - Scafell Pike.
Also in Wasdale is England's smallest Church (St Olaf's at Wasdale Head) and England's deepest lake - Wastwater (20 minutes). Wastwater is brilliant for canoeing/kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming (brrr) and West Lakes Adventures can be booked to take you on many guided activities.
Drigg beach is a ten minute drive and offers miles of golden sands and sand dunes which are a SSSI nature reserve, home to the rare Natterjack Toad. A great place for a full day out, a BBQ on the beach or a sunset stroll.
