Consider yourself well positioned at this Wiltshire site, only 20 minutes from Stonehenge and 35 minutes from Salisbury, with its famous cathedral. The inn is home to three acres of pretty grounds where you can stretch out and enjoy a fire. Choose between hardstandings with electric and grass camping pitches. Whether you're just sleeping under canvas or you've brought a spacious motorhome, there's lots of room for you here.

What an exceptional location with the river, the seating and the picnic tables. I can't believe this hidden gem, great helpful and friendly staff with great food on offer...

Excellent gravelled camper van pitches, especially for autumn weather, if a little close together. Good showers. The other facilities in the wash block were fine though the building was a little tired. You need a head torch if washing up after dark. Nice people to deal with.

A rural but beautiful area. We stayed in our Motorhome on a well planed site by the river and near to the lake. Toilets and showers clean and a lovely quaint pub in the grounds. The service was good and very friendly staff. We didn't eat there but the menus looked lovely. Very peaceful and a short walk led us to a huge stunning lake with beautiful swans. We plan to go back there soon.

Arrival is between midday and dusk. Please report to the bar on arrival before making your way to the pitch.
All pitches are to be departed by midday. Departures after this can be discussed with the site for a small fee but must be no later than 4pm.
Things to do on site and in the Pewsey area
Don't forget your rod! Fishing in the Avon offers a spectacular setting and hope of catching a whopper in the sunshine.
After a day spent outdoors, enjoy a meal in the cosy, traditional pub with its pretty gardens and welcoming interior. Or, you can get friends together and picnic beside the river with you supplying the blanket and the pub supplying delicious picnic bites to tempt you.
Get in the car and it's an easy ride to the famous stone circles that are iconic in this part of the world. Stonehenge is a bucketlist must and you'll find no crowds, but plenty of history at the Avebury Circle.
Since you're exploring the marks of times gone by, have a wander at the Westbury White Horse for the sheer ingenuity of chalking its enormous image into the hillside. On the other hand, Salisbury is a great option for rainy days with its unique copy of the Magna Carta and pretty shop lined streets.
