Ravens Nest, near Launceston in West Cornwall, offers a limited number of guests a back to basics and eco-friendly camping experience. The enclosed three-acre private field contains a traditional Mongolian yurt which is cosy and perfect for two to get back to nature while living comfortably with adjacent facilities.
Here you'll find a different sort of Cornwall holiday experience for anyone looking to experience both tranquillity and the fantastic natural world of this part of the UK. The site is situated in a desirable location between the historic village of Launceston and the vibrant surfing town of Bude. Surrounded by working farmland, it has beautiful views of Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, and some of Cornwall's famed beaches are only a short distance away too. The private field offers a secluded haven. The single traditionally constructed and furnished yurt provides those looking for a little more comfort and an unusual experience with a place to relax. A fire pit is available, and dogs are welcome on the site by prior arrangement provided they are kept under tight control at all times, since the neighbouring fields contain sheep and cattle.
The site is open for 28 days of the year, operating over weekends between March and October.

Away from the site, the surrounding farmland extends out towards Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, providing great opportunities for those who enjoy walking, whether that's a gentle stroll through the country, or a tougher moorland hike.
Beginner and professional surfers alike will appreciate the site's proximity to Bude, a vibrant town of independent stores, cafes, and pubs, that has become one of Cornwall's major surfing centres. History lovers will want to visit the charming streets of Launceston, just 7.5 miles away, with its medieval ruined castle, Georgian townhouse museum, and steam railway.
Very close to the wild and rugged coastline, there are also a number of beautiful beaches and stunning coves to be explored, each of which offer something different, from rock pools, to fine golden sand.
