The beaches of the South Hams are ideal for a family day out, whether you choose to sunbathe, build sandcastles, surf or windsurf. Bigbury on Sea is one of the area's most spectacular beaches, where you can enjoy dramatic coastal walks or take the sea tractor to historic Burgh Island. Nature lovers and families will also enjoy Dartmoor Otters and Buckfast Butterflies in Buckfastleigh, Devon Wildlife Centre near Newton Abbot and River Dart Country Park in Ashburton. Non-members welcome.
