Just a mile from the glorious Northumberland coast, Dunstan Hill is a beautifully tranquil spot - a complete contrast to the area's 400 years of violence and unrest, as shown by the number of local castles. Pitches are offered on grass and hardstanding with electric.

The lovely beaches of the North Northumberland Heritage Coast are a few minutes' walk from site, and Embleton Bay offers views to Dunstanburgh Castle.
Other castles nearby include Bamburgh - which traces its royal heritage back to the 7th century - and Alnwick, now best known for its role as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films.
Fans of horticulture will enjoy a visit to Alnwick Garden - home to a giant holly serpent and some of the world's most poisonous plants - while animal lovers should head for the Farne Islands. Here you can see a seal colony and breeding bird colonies (including puffins) in early summer. Boats leave from Seahouses.
The historic market town of Alnwick has a selection of cafes, pubs and shops.
