Spittal, Bamburgh (and its spectacular castle), Seahouses, and Lindisfarne are easily accessible too, with Holy Island and other Farne Islands trips a huge draw. Walkers will also enjoy the Lowry Trail and other coastal walks, plus access to the Northumberland National Park.

Edinburgh is also within reach, with the Scottish border just 3 miles north from Berwick-upon-Tweed.

The nearest National Cycle Network route to this site is route number 1, Tynemouth to Berwick (Coast and Castle Cycle Route).

The local beaches (particularly at Spittal) are beautiful and sandy, perfect for families who wish to paddle or swim in the sea. The steam train and castle nurseries at Ford and Etal estate also offer family fun.

Pitch prices vary from £25.30 per night for two adults.

The site office will be closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day. Please contact the warden before arrival to discuss pitching.

Please advise site if motorhome if longer than 8m or particularly heavy.

Some noise can be expected from adjacent railway line.
