The site offers large, flat grass pitches for tents and VW-sized campervans, each with its own fire pit. It is a family-focused site, with an adventure trail and plenty of space to play. There are also adult-friendly, segregated areas to camp, for those looking for a more peaceful escape!

About Yamp Camp Firle
Tucked away in the Sussex countryside, this off-grid campsite is great for families and friends wanting a relaxed break within easy reach of many attractions. Just ten minutes from the historic town of Lewes and only 15 minutes from the coast, it will be hard to pick where to go for days out! The site offers 30 non electric grass pitches, each welcoming both tents and VW-style campervans. Each pitch also comes with its own complimentary fire pit, perfect for making smores of an evening or telling campfire tales. The site is set in a remote area on the Firle Estate, with amazing views of the South Downs National Park all around. There are also separated and secluded pitching areas which are great for those looking for some peace and quiet, along with larger areas on the campsite for those coming as a group. Along with this, there is masses of open space to play games and have fun, as well as an adult-friendly section for those wanting a bit of space from children! The campsite operates a 'leave no trace' philosophy which allows wildlife to make use of the campsite while campers are not enjoying the beautiful scenery. It's an ideal space for young explorers and parents who also want to feel like a kid again! Four-legged friends are also more than welcome onsite so don't forget the dog treats.
The site is open for weekends from 14th July until 10th September.
Site facilities include eco compost loos, hot showers and washing-up areas. There is also space for games, as well as a woodland with tree swings and a woodland play trail.
For picking up the essentials, Firle Stores is a five minute drive away. If you're looking for a drink or something to eat, The Ram Inn is a five minute drive or a 30 minute walk away.

Helpful host on arriving. Got to select own pitch. All very clean. No litter, but a few bins would help. Showers hot but 3 not working. Didn't affect us to be honest. Great location.

Things to do on site and in the Firle area
Sussex is home to wonderful vineyards, so it is an ideal location for wine lovers. Bluebell Vineyard Estates Ltd is just 30 minutes away, along with Ridgeview Wine Estate which is famous for its award-winning sparkling!
The site is also just a 15 minute drive away from the spectacular Sussex coast. Seaford Beach (15 minutes) pebble beach and great waves and perfect for surfing, whilst the calm waters at Rottingdean Beach (25 minutes) are ideal for swimming and rock pooling.
If this is your first time in Sussex, a visit to the quirky city of Brighton (25 minutes) is a must-visit. Stroll through the vibrant lanes and discover boutiques, museums, galleries and more. Visit Brighton Palace Pier and play on the arcades, or enjoy some fish and chips on the pretty pebble beach.
The charming town of Lewes is also just a ten minute drive away. The cobbled streets are lined with cafes and antique shops, perfect for an afternoon mooching around. The historic monuments of Anne of Cleves House and Lewes Castle and Museum are also great for soaking up some local history.
