About Dogwood Camping and Glamping

Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday nestled in the East Sussex countryside. The site is lucky to be set in the small village of Brede, just a short stroll over the fields to two excellent pubs. There are 15 grass pitches, 10 without electric and 5 with electric. These are suitable for campers with units up to 6m long, and each can take up to two adults with three children. For glampers, there are a couple of options to choose from. The bell tent sleeps up to two people in two single beds, but guests must bring their own bedding. Additionally, there is a mini fridge, kettle, heater and outside you'll have your own fire pit and seating. The spacious glamping yurt sleeps up to two adults and two children in two single beds, these can also be pushed together to make a double. There is room for children's sleeping mattresses but these are not provided. Please bring your own bedding. Inside there are cosy furnishings such as a wood-burning fire, as well as a mini fridge and kettle. Outside is a private decking with a fire pit and picnic bench seating. The cabin is great for those wanting something a little sturdier. Sleeping up to two adults and a child under 12 in a double futon bed, but please bring a camping mat and bedding for the child. All bedding and linen is provided and you'll have your own compost toilet. The cabin is complete with beanbag seating, a writing desk, mini-fridge, kettle and a heater. Through the sliding doors, you'll find your private decking with a fire bowl, cooking tripod and seating. Finally, the static caravan sleeps up to two adults and a small child with a double bedroom, smaller bedroom, kitchen and lounge. The caravan has views out onto the pony and pygmy goat paddock. There are wonderful woodland and field walks straight from the site. In the evening you can enjoy stargazing, all thanks to magnificent dark skies as there are no street lights! During your stay you can hire out fire bowls. There are logs, firelighters and locally made vegan organic marshmallows available to purchase. These can be brought separately or in a 'campfire package'. A safe and friendly site for children of all ages, little ones particularly enjoy the free-roaming ducks and chickens! Please note, this is a quiet site suitable for families, couples and singles only.

Dogwood Camping and Glamping is open all year round.

A note from the site themselves...

Here at Dogwood, we live in harmony with the environment and try, as far as possible, to operate an organic, sustainable and environmentally-friendly campsite. We ensure we recycle all rubbish and power the electric hook-ups partly using solar energy.

We hope you find our site to be a magical place in which to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature and the charming birdsong. You can spend hours watching the wild rabbits, the free-range chickens, Cayuga, Indian Runner and Muscovy ducks or getting to know our pygmy goats and miniature Shetland pony. We all hope to welcome you soon, Katy and Phil

Amazing yurt

We had an amazing family glamping experience. The yurt is an amazing structure and it is well kept, and warm. The yurt area has table, benches and green area. There were goats and a pony, which the kids loved. The spot is secluded and the place is very pretty in a cute, little, quiet village. There aren't any shops but there's a pub within a walking distance. Village shop within 1 mile or so. With a car, there's lot to see and do with little ones in the surrounding areas. Phil, the owner, is very welcoming and me being silly, ended up mixing up bookings and brought no cooking gear to Dogwood. Phil was very comprehensive and sorted us out. Thank you! There are toilets and warm shower and a kitchen sink. Sadly, the weather was horrible, but the yurt is quite cosy and sturdy, and there's a skylight aperture which is amazing. I totally recommend the place but perhaps on a dryer season but again, weather is unpredictable and there's nothing we can do.

A great stay at Dogwood campsite

We had a fabulous stay at this very quiet, serene campsite. We stayed in a yurt, which housed five of us very well- we took some blow up mattresses for our three children which worked well. Our kids loved the animals that happily roamed around the campsite. It's a great location for lots of other great places to visit.

Beautiful yurt

We stayed a night in the yurt. It was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The showers and toilets were clean and nice. The free range farm animals were a cute and fun addition to the experience and the children had a lot of fun hanging out with the chickens by the yurt.
