About Wyeside Camping and Caravanning Club Site

From your setting near the river, you are surrounded by the beautiful area known as the Lakeland of Wales. It's great for nature lovers, as you'll see scores of red kites at Gigrin Farm, plus the opportunities for hiking and biking trails are numerous. Caravans, tents, trailer tents and motorhomes are welcome to enjoy hardstanding pitches with EHU, plus a range of grass pitches, with and without EHU. One car is allowed per pitch.

Open from 1 April to 31 October

Facilities and amenities

Site facilities include two shower and toilet blocks including accessible facilities, and a laundry. Due to the site being in an International Dark Sky Park, there is little lighting at night.

The neighbouring Waun Capel Park has a tennis court, all surface basketball/football pitches and a children's park. Rhayader town is around a 10 minute walk and has a leisure centre, town museum and plenty of pubs and eateries. There is a bus stop less than a mile from the site.

This site is the perfect place to eat local and sample some of the flavours of Wales. Bob the Butcher in Rhayader town sells top quality, local meat and produce. The Pigs Folly also make 60 flavours of sausage, using local ingredients. Why not try these tasty morsels out?

Head on foot to the Elan Valley to appreciate the unbeatable scenery and get active. Or if you fancy some retail therapy, spend a relaxing afternoon in Llandrindod Wells, where there are great shops and restaurants - it has plenty to keep you busy.

There's lovely walking and cycling routes to explore and you can go horse trekking from Rhayader.

By night, look up and experience Elan Valley's limitlss starry skies in this designated International Dark Sky Park. You'll be able to see stars you never knew existed.
