The Canterbury Camping and Caravanning Club site is an ideal stopover when travelling to or from France, as well as a perfect base for an extended visit to explore the history of the Canterbury area. The city is just a bus ride or a bit more than a mile's walk away.
About Canterbury Camping and Caravanning Club Site
The site is located a couple of miles south of the city, within walking and cycling distance. A mix of hard standing and grass pitches are available, as well as a number of fully furnished Ready Camp glamping tents. Non-members welcome. Dogs are welcome on pitches, but not in the glamping tents, sorry.

Facilities include a recently refurbished toilet and shower block, as well as a washing up area, children's play zone and Wi-Fi.

Things to do on site and in the Canterbury area
Buses run from outside the site into Canterbury, giving easy access to the city's varied tourist features and amenities, which include Canterbury cathedral, a guided tour based on Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, and the popular Marlowe Theatre.
Other attractions in the area include Dover Castle, which is less than 30 minutes' drive from site and makes a great family day out. You can also cycle the Crab and Winkle Way, a seven-mile route along a disused railway line from Canterbury to the seaside town of Whitstable.
