Lovely campsite.

Lovely campsite and very well kept and maintained. Staff very helpful and lovely walk to Churchill Pub. Showers ni w and hot and smart metre a good idea. Will be back soon.

Lovely quiet place to stay

Lovely quiet place to stay for access to the New Forest and beaches. Great campsite. The pitches are a good size and although it was very quiet when we stayed, we can't imagine it would ever feel like you were crammed in. The toilets and showers were very clean. Our only issue was the water in the showers went off a little too quickly (within 10 seconds). I get the need to conserve water, but it made washing my daughters hair impossible. This is only a minor niggle/personal preference and the rest of the site and facilities more than make up for it. We were in a campervan and put £2 on the electric, but did not use it all, so we would recommend only putting a £1 at the most to start with. We also went to the Thai Kitchen. The service was a bit slow but the food was fabulous. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and we would recommend.

Lovely site

Nice little find at last minute, very pleased with the cleanliness of showers and toilets. Very quiet, mid week break and in easy reach of several nice places to visit. Excellent Thai restaurant and takeaway on site and would definitely recommend. Only downside was a fellow camper who obviously didn't pay for electricity and decided to keep his car running while his phone charged, which was a bit annoying, as this happened for most of the day, but no fault of the site, these things happen, and would definitely stay again.

Lovely site - will certainly return.

Just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay. The camp site and facilities are lovely. The pitches are a great size and many have hedges surrounding them for that extra bit of privacy. The site is well maintained and the facilities were spotless whatever time of day you used them. There is a useful shop on site with lots of bits and pieces. There is a Thai eat in / take away on site on certain evenings which is ideal if you don’t feel like cooking. Nice dog walk on site and you can also walk through a wooded area to the village which is about 15 mins away. Friendly, helpful staff. Will certainly be back.

Lovely week at hill cottage,

During our stay we found All the staff very helpful and friendly. The pitches are very large, we got our large tent and two cars on ours. All the facilities were spotless. Having the freezer and washing machine available was a great bonus. You must not miss the Thai restaurant, the food is fantastic. We would gladly stay there again.

Just a lush campsite close to everything and the Thai take away was delicious! We will be back!!!

A wonderful discovery in a rural setting.

A beautiful, peaceful site. Spacious well tended pitches. Birdsong to lull you to sleep and greet you in the morning. The on-site Thai restaurant & takeaway serves delicious food. Friendly staff and small onsite shop. A village with co op and pub within walking distance. Larger shops, amenities and beaches a short drive away.

Good site

Great park loved the idea of pay as you go electric only used just under £10 in VC 4 days that’s including charging a mobility scooter. Toilets and showers are very clean. Would definitely recommend this park.

Lovely campsite

Medium size campsite with large pitches and good quality facilities. Staff very helpful. Would benefit from more facilities for kids like a bigger play area or indoor play room

Recent visit

Return visit and will not be the last, many more to come. Just a very good site with the facilities needed, clean and tidy. This visit, the addition of the coffee lady just made it better. Thanks again.

Restaurant could be open for a drink in the evening

Lovely park would be nice if you could get evry day food in the restaurant

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review Angela. The on site thai restaurant is not licenced but many guests appreciate being able to bring their own wine and beer. There is a pub in the village which you can walk to in 15-20 minutes.

Very impressed with the site and facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our pitch had hedges both sides which we liked. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely campsite

Clean, well maintained site. Private secluded hard standing pitch. Reception helped us set up the smart electric meter, easy to use, very economical. Nice woodland walk to local shop and pub. Showers and toilet facilities were modern and immaculate. Look forward to returning and trying the Thai restaurant onsite.

Wonderfully friendly staff welcome you at this immaculate site. Peaceful, well maintained, with lovely spacious pitches. Small playground adequate for young children. Shop with all the essentials. Will definitely be back!

Fabulous stay

Myself and my family stayed at Hill Cottage Farm in May 2024. The site was easy to find, well maintained and easy to navigate. The pitches were also very well maintained and we felt relaxed straight away. It was quiet and had lots of amenities which where of a very high standard. We ate at the onsite Thai restaurant on the Saturday night and the food was fabulous. I would highly recommend this for so many reasons as everything was great!

Nice quiet little site

Nice quiet and well kept little site with good sized private pitches in the fully-serviced hardstanding areas. Staff really friendly and very helpful. Good easy access in and out. The pay-as-you-go electric top up is a bit of a faff, especially if the internet signal drops out, but the staff can top up in reception for you if need be. You do need to keep a check on the electric account though to make sure it doesn't run out in the middle of the night, leaving your fridge without power. Luckily ours went in the evening whilst watching the TV so we knew it had gone. All in all a great site, thanks for a lovely stay.

Recent visit

Love the automation, sometimes you do not need the Hi-de-Hi treatment, just arrived and park up, log you electric online and all go. Lovely site, good facilities and pitch size made it not feel full. Good walks and fishing available, dark skies at night too. Simple on site shop in case of essentials. Will be returning soon.....

Great site but a shame about the electricity system

Excellent site with privacy on every pitch. We loved it but the smart meter system stinks 😷 Firstly, you pay up front for your electricity, not knowing how much you will need or use then if you don't pay for enough, you are cut off. If you overpay, you get charged £1.50 to get your money back. It feels like a way of getting more money out of you. I'm guessing if you've only got £2 left when leaving, most people would say don't bother with the 50p after deductions. I didn't. I loved this site but this has put me off ever going again. Smart meter, fine, I get that, but take details and charge for the amount used on departure. You can hardly do a runner the site has ANPR.

Weekend away

Play park needs more equipment for children. Washing up block could do with another washing up drainer. None of this would stop me coming back again. Wi-Fi is weak.

Good but thought it was expensive

We stayed with granddaughter for a long weekend, she enjoyed the small playground and horses and donkeys in the forest. Campsite's facilities nice and clean, great option take away on site. For electricity, you have to pay on top, which we felt made the stay more expensive then other sites.

Will be back

We had a fully serviced pitch and requested one near to the toilets and showers, they accommodated our wishes by giving us one of the nearest. The pitches are of a very good size, although you will need heavy duty pegs if using an awning. We liked the new system for obtaining the electric to our hook-up, as this worked out cheaper for us than the usual sites we visit. Would fully recommend the site and will use again.
