About Via Ferrata Cornwall
This family and dog friendly campsite is part of an award winning outdoor pursuits centre, with an incredible range of onsite activities (subject to availability).
The site is exclusively for campers with tents only, with ten grass pitches without electric hook up and five with 16 amp electric hook up. Each one is set in its own spot with plenty of space.
Lovely beaches are just 15 minutes away by car, including Swanpool which has golden sands and plenty to do, and Gyllyngvase with lovely views and a cafe and snack bar.
Set amongst 60 acres, there really is something for everyone. Take on the Via Ferrata course, take to the water in a kayak, canoe or paddle board, discover the thrill of coasteering and rock climbing, or see if you can hit the bullseye with archery.
Conveniently all onsite you'll find a Zip Wire Safari, three exhilarating zip wires which see you flying around their stunning quarry to your heat's content. There is also an ultimate high wire adventure involving scaling cliff faces, balancing across the high wire bridge and zip-lining.
Please note, all the activities listed are an extra. Campers are not permitted to access the water/quarries for watersports or swimming with their own kit but must book any activities separately as they are led by qualified Instructors.
Why not discover the adventure activities, or sit back and relax with lovely views over Falmouth Bay, just 20 minutes away by car.
Dog owners please note, there are two types of pitches, electric bays and non electric field camping. Dogs are permitted in the electric bays but are not allowed in the main field.
Elsewhere on the site, dogs are welcome at the cafe and in the nature trails, however they are not permitted in the wild play area for children. Please keep them on the lead at all times to avoid the dangers of quarry edges.
Campfires and BBQs are allowed, just please keep them raised off the grass.
Via Ferrata Cornwall is open from 29/03 to 30/10.

A note from the site themselves...
We hope you love our site as much as we do! Our 60 acres of woodland, heathland and water-filled quarries is a haven for a diverse array of wildlife, which we actively encourage through tree planting, using bug hotels and more.
Away from the crowds, it's the perfect place to relax, take in the views and explore the nature trails. It's also where our charity BF Adventure is based. We use outdoor education and youth work to support Cornwall's young people in need - all the profits from our campsite and activities go to this cause, so by choosing us you'll be making a difference!
We had a lovely time at the campsite, the staff was kind and helpful.
The location is just great, less than an hour driving from all famous Cornish landmarks .
The pitches are boarded with tall vegetation offering privacy and shelter. I recommended waking up early and observing the sun rising above the quarry, it is absolutely stunning!
Finally the facilities, the campsites share the facilities with the activity park. However there enough stools to accommodate people from both places. Plus the shower and the kitchen were always very clean during our stay.
Site's response

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023
We booked four nights with electric hook up - our pitch was very private, yet near the facilities.
Pros - quiet campsite, clean toilets and sinks, hot showers, good washing up facilities. Great cafe onsite and option to join in activities (extra cost).
Cons - shower cubicles were dirty as were the floors in the bathrooms and shower rooms. The sanitary bins were overflowing too.
Site's response
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review, Gillian, we really appreciate it.
It's great to read that you enjoyed the campsite and the on-site café - all credit to The Cornish Barista!
We're sincerely sorry about your experience regarding cleanliness. We will be reviewing cleaning routines for next year and will look at implementing a fixed clean/shut down time.
Finally, thank you for coming and making a difference; our profits support our charity BF Adventure, which helps Cornwall's vulnerable children and gives them the opportunity to enjoy our outdoor adventures and grow in confidence - so thank you!
All the best, Team Via Ferrata Cornwall.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2023
Very happy with our stay here.
Small site, well laid out with clear pitches. Good showers, toilets, clean up area and freezer for ice blocks.
We had booked outdoor activies with Via Feratta Cornwall before realising they also had a campsite, and we were delighted to be able to stay on site.
There is a lovely cafe overlooking the quarry which has great vegan options.
